anyone been to a slimming session where salt is rubbed onto your body by the masseuse ad then wrapped with a warm film as part of the process? I read it somewhere on a forum about a chinese actress who went for it. She tweeted on her microblog too.

How does that work? I know the salt probably works to exfoliate but what else does it do?

And do you have to remove the underpants too?

Gee, i'm not too comfortable having some stranger do all that. THink i'll be the last person to go for a Brazilian wax then.

I have never heard of this procedure. I honestly can't think of what salt would do to slim anyone down, as salt is sodium and sodium usually causes a retention of water and bloating in the body. Interesting though! Hopefully someone will have some more info.

I would assume any sort of professional body scrub would entail a stranger (at least on your first visit) rubbing your body with whatever product that they decide to use.

As far as removing underpants, as far as I'm aware, usually that's limited by your comfort, unless you've actually got a procedure that involves an area normally covered by that.  It's a service industry -- they're not going to force you past your line of comfort.

The salt would only exfoliate but the wrap would be an attempt at warming the body..... I dunno if they think you can sweat off the weight? Lol I have never heard of this procedure...
