I use Biolage Hair products from Matrix and I noticed on the bottle as well as other "high end" brands that it's sold "only in salons" or thats it not the REAL product if not purchased in a salon. Whats the deal with that?

There's a store around here called Harmons and it sells make-up, hair care products, health aids etc. So am I not getting the real deal? I recently even bought Biolage Conditioner from my Shoprite (supermarket) because I was there and it was convenient.

I could use your help on this one. I don't want to be buying counterfeit products.

I dont think that stuff is counterfeit, they just dont know who all they retail to. They sell Paul Mitchell, Bedhead, and other high end brands in CVS, but get on tv and say that they sell in salons only.

i dont think it's counterfeit but the company can only gurantee the products if sold in a salon.. so if you buy from cvs and have a problem the company is not responsible

i've noticed recently even walmart is selling tigi catwalk and biolage products.

i think its better to buy in a salon i notice the price is cheaper and alot of times to get rid of stuff and make room for new they have sales.

Im sure their not counterfit. Being put into stores like CVS and walmart is a great way to reach more people and generate a larger profit.

Wow you guys are awsome!! Thanks for the help!

You know what han??? You're soooo right. There is an Ulta right by me and they have a buy 2 get 1 free sale.....so you're right about the sales!!! I usually buy the big tubs of Biolage conditioning balm and to buy it at that sale price is amazing. It's just sometimes it's easier for me to get it at the supermarket while i'm grocery shopping.

yeah i have bought mine at drugstore befor out of convience i love the biolage hydrateing balm.. now that i got my cosmetology license i can go to the beauty supply store and get the big 33oz 1 liter bottle for $9 where befor it was $20.. the reason salons sale them cheaper or you can buy two for $22 is because they get a discount from the company cause they buy in bulk.. the grocery/drugstores dont get a discount and theres no telling where it comes from.
