what are some good DS salicylic acid washes?

The only one I know of is L'Oreal Pure Zone, I believe it's about 2% salicylic acid.

I was always under the impression medicated face washes didn't do anything really, since it is on your face for about 30 seconds. Is that wrong?

The Pure Zone seemed to work for me but it could have been purely pyschological, they do say it's better to use a salicylic acid in a moisturiser because it stays around for longer.

yes i use it as a moisturizer and it keeps that acne at bay for the most part!

I use Murad clarifying cleansing it has 1.5 % Salicylic Acid and kills and prevent bacteria, some people don't like Murad products but I love this cleanser.

Most acne washes have salcylic acid. Clearasil makes a nice one.

Back in the day, when I was a pimply teenager, I used Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash and it has 2% SA. Although, I think what anne7 wrote makes sense too. Maybe try Dermalogica's Medicated Clearing Gel, PCA Acne Gel - PHaze 35, NeoStrata NeoCeuticals Acne Treatment Solution Pads. They all have 2% SA, and the last two are pretty inexpensive.

Are there moisturizers that contain salicylic acid? I need one! I use a cleanser with SA and it helps to keep my acne at control. If I had a moisturizer, I think the effect will be even better.

Could you tell me which moisturizer it is?

the salycic acid must be absorbed into your skin to have any effect. cleansers that you are just rinsing off are money down the drain. Look for toners or a lotion/gel treatment w/ at least 2%

So Jen would your advice be to just get a basic facial wash that just cleans, and they get a moisturiser with SA in it.

I love Love love neutrogenas controled exfoliation cleansing cloths. they have 2% S.A. they are so amazing, but it is pretty gross to see all of the gunk on your face. yuk.
