hi everyone. ive been running outdoors in the hot sun lately and im worried about how this will effect my skin. is it going to damage it and make me age earlier? i wear strong waterproof sunscreen but i still worry. am i just being paranoid or should i change my running to night time? thanks

 
If your wearing sunscreen theres nothing to worry about! just make sure you drink enough water

x That sounds like good advice. Just remember to top up your application every few hours even though it's waterproof.
 
I definately agree with Pauline, if your in the sun for extended periods of time make sure to keep applying it! And definately drink lots of water. You don't want to get dehydrated!

 
I would think the negatives of running durring the day are still better than the dangers of running at night!

 
I would avoid running in the sun for an extended period of time if possible. I learned it the hard way. If you have to, use a great sunscreen and reapply every hour.

 
jane, as long as you use a spf of 15 or higher and reapply often you shouldn't have a problem

 
You're doing great IMHO by using a high SPF that's waterproof. Definitely be sure to reapply often if needed, and as violetcigarette said, avoid the hours of 10am - 4pm.
