How has the rose water been working for you? I would like to try it but I'm a little apprehensive about new things on my skin. Let me know how it worked.

Rose water is very nice. It has a divine smell and it's one of those versatile waters, it's beneficial for every skintype. I prefer to use mine to remove makeup, although i don't have any particular reason for that.

I like that video !

I think its calming all around. Good for skin, good for the soul. One sniff and all the stresses are gone....*sigh*.

I use it with witchhazel as a toner. 1/4 witchhazel, 3/4 rose water. I traded geranium hydrosol for rose water when I ran out of my batch.

Sometines i used it as a toner or use it to mix my powdered mask...feels good and refreshed. I usually keep it in the fridge and applies it directly...nice cool feeling.

I am in love with Rose Water, using it as a Toner, a Cleanser, a Body Spray, Mixing Media, Fix+, adding to my Homemade Creams, Masks...

Super-Product!

But I don't think that Rose Water from the video will be the same or even close to the properties of the Rose (Distilled) Water - Hydrosol...

It makes a good hair spray too! Jojoba and rose. MMMmmm... I can't stand the smell of geranium tho. It's too strong, so I took it out my mix.

I'm not sure either, and you need a lot of petals to get a potent product, so maybe this one i'd keep for cooking purposes.

Hydrosols are the by-product in making essential oils. Its the water the separates from the oils. You'd have to be careful when they advertise hydrosols but really they are just stabilized EO with water.

Thanks you divadoll,

I knew about this problem and now I am buying my Hydrosols only from manufactors I trust...

Here in Israel Rose and Neroli Hydrosols are quite popular, I've tryed so many brands over last five years and I've found a couple of good ones...

Sometimes they switch product descriptions and they don't make a big announcement about it. They switch from real hydrosols to ones they make from water and EO and emulsifiers.

I've added it to my new cream. I'm trying to dupe my Shiseido Bio Performance Super Revitalizer. I'm using rose water and rose geranium hydrosol instead of water.

I too recently found out about rose water and made my own. I have grown many rose bushes in the past few years and keep adding more and never knew about rose water until now. I love the smell and the way it makes my skin feel. I also try to make a mix similar to MAC Fix Plus but I don't know if it is similar or not since I have never tried MAC Fix Plus. I really want to try it soon though. I love roses!

I use the Aveda Botanical Kenetics Toner and I believe that has Rose Water in it... it's great for redness reduction and I love that it balances out my oil/dry issue...
