Are the any advantage or disadvantages to doing this?

I've read that pores can't closed with cold water, so I often wonder if there's a reason to put it on your face.

Would splashing with cold water after washing with warm water (+ cleanser) reduce tiny clogged pores?

If so, how cold should the water be? Cool? Freezing?

Thanks.

i always put warm water on my face then cleanser then rinse it off then i splash cold water when im finish i heard it closes your pores and it make my face feel tight whichi like:icon_lol:

I like to wash my face with cold water... the colder the better. It just makes me skin feel more refreshed and awake.

I always thought warm water opened up your pores, so I wash with warm water to make sure my pores are opened up so I can wash all the dirt and grease out of them! I guess you could rinse with cold water if you wanted to try to close them back up but I never bother..... I hate cold water, brrrr!

I rinse my face with really cold water after sauna or hot tub to close my pores back. But for morning or night cleansing I usually just splash lukewarm water to wash my face followed with mild facial soap.

When I use water, it`s not too warm and not too cold. Cuz hot water is not good (dry skin) and I`ve read that too cold water "like ice" will give broken cappilaries or something like that! But just normal cold is ok and refreshing and good for the blood circulation!

I'm glad I read this post because I did not know that. I always take warm baths and just dried myself off after that. Now, after reading all this, I'm going to make sure when I'm finished washing to splash cold water over my body real fast so that it can close my pores. Thanks for the post.:icon_love :clap
