Alright, so I've been wondering about this and I thought I'd do a small bit of research. My mom told me that she used to cleanse her face with rice water when she was younger (water from washing/soaking rice). So this is what I found from two websites.

I was planning to use rice water as a spritz to apply and set makeup with. So I'll be using it on my face for the day. Do you think it'll be better for my skin than plain water? As I said, I only did some research so I don't know if it will turn white or change my makeup colour during the day or if it will smell if it's on my face for a whole day (heat, sun etc). I am also not sure if keeping the rice water in a spritz bottle for long periods of time will cause it to go bad, it's not extracted from inside the rice, only from the surface of the rice. If you don't know how it looks like (because many of my caucasian friends don't wash their rice) the first wash is a milky white, it's not clear. LAST question :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />, do you think it's okay to use on my makeup brushes if I do wash them once a week (and wipe them on a wet cloth after each application)?

Sorry about the long post.

Not sure about using it as sprits water, because maybe the smell would change. But, you can try it, just member to keep it cool so it'll last longer.

I remember I used to wash my face using rice water when I was a kid. I saw my grandma doing that all the time so I was curious and tried it lol. You can also use the rice milky water as mask face. I used to loved drinking the milky rice water before when I was a kid, the taste was like milky sweet.

We got many rice power cosmetics here in Japan, one of the famous is RICE FORCE

It got RAVES here and many models use it as their skincare regimen.

I'm currently using the lotion/toner and I LOVE it.

I'll be sure to try it one weekend and test out the smell, wear etc. But I'm still not sure how long I should keep it in the spritz bottle. I'm asian and I eat rice everynight, so I could change the water daily if I want, but that's too much work lol. What do you think of once a week.. non-refridgerated (I don't think it needs to be refridgerated, because it's just rice) althought keeping it in the fridge may help it last longer, but agian, I'll change it weekly.

Never heard of this one! Really interesting.

But i'm wonderng about the smell.

I prefer to buy a product made from rice, rather than using the actual rice water itself.

I've used the rice water made from pre-washing the rice but I didn't notice a difference. I kept it refrigerated thinking that it had to be.
