Thanksss

come on people pleaseee

It's really the same product, but a different texture. I find that gels are more irritating.

I don't think it's overdoing it, but everyone's skin is different. You can always modify your routine if it's too much.

I'm assuming the difference between Retin A Gel and Retin A Cream would be the texture of the product and maybe the ingredients (not the Vitamin A), but the other ingredients.

the ingredients are the same. Gel is more drying than cream, water-based and is clear in color. Cream is thicker, white colored and significantly less drying. If you have oily skin you'll do better with a gel. Cream works better for dry skin.

The gel is made for oiler skin and actually works quicker because it penetrates more effectively. However, it contains alcohol, which is drying. The cream is really greasy and recommended more for those using Retin-A for aging, rather than acne. Retin-A Micro is in a different type of base.. gritty but it is microencapsulated so it not only works quicker but is gentler on the skin as it is distributed more evenly. I've tried them all!

I have been on both and continue to be on the cream type for at least 15 years now. The gel can be more drying than the cream so wait at least 15 minutes after you wash your face, then apply. If you have an active pimple, retin a can irritate it more. Use another product on the pimple until it starts to clear up. As well, you might want to use retin a every other day until your face can tolerate it well. After a month, try to use it daily. Good luck.

Thank you so muccch ladiess what would i do without you hehe and by the way im on retin a gel now for about 6 days and its making me break out like crazy all little red with white heads pimpless i hope it will go soon

If you have been on retin a for a week and your skin is red with white pimples, you may be having a reaction. Apply every couple of days until your skin tolerates the retin a. Also, has your doctor prescribed a low dosage?

If your redness/bumps are still occuring, there is another product very similar

called Stiefel Retisol-A Tretinoin Cream Topical Acne Therapy. It has an spf of 15.

You need a prescription and dosages range from .025 up to 0.1% Take care.

I've used epidermx combined with Retin-A micro gel and it has done wonders, my only regret is that my skin was looking so great, and I got lazy using both products, but I have purchased them again and it's getting better. But before my wedding I used it faithfully for a year and my skin was the best it ever looked...but you only use a tad bit of Retin-A cream and night, not too much. Your skin may have to get adjusted to the Retin-A cream, I would use epidermx twice a week, or until you get a feel for how your skin reacts to daily use.

Mouna dear...I heard that Retin-A is supposed to do that to you...my derm tells me it's because you have pimples that are brewing underneath your skin (normal pimple has life cycle of 2-4 weeks)...the Retin-A causes your cells to turnover faster so it brings all the underground pimples to the surface. I was just prescribed Differin cream (rather than the gel) because it's less irritating to dry skin. Oh another thing...one of my girlfriends swears that Retin-A made her pores big...not sure if it's true...i thought it was supposed to do the opposite!

i've used Retin A gel when i was in high school and it was a GOD send!!

i put it on at night and woke up with NO PIMPLES!!! miracle gel i call it...lol

but that was then...

just thought i would share that tidbit since all the info above was mentioned..lol

HI!

I used to use the cream but am much happier with the gel. It spreads on so much easier...i.e....use much less of it!
