I need a product to help weigh my hair down a bit. I know it sounds silly but even after flat ironing my hair has too much fluff to it. (I probably need a better flat iron but that isn't going to happen anytime soon) So what do you recommend to help weigh things down a bit? I won't be using it on my entire head of hair just on the longest pieces of my bob.

i like john frieda secret weapon flawless finishing creme. great at controlling frizz and fly aways without that stickey feel.

Thank you for the recommendation. It's just my naturally floofy hair but I'm sure if it works on frizz and fly aways it will de-floof my locks too.

Schwarskopf Spray Wax - Sherbet.

You could try spraying a bit on your hair before flat ironing - or spray on after for a piecy look.

I won't be using it on my entire head of hair just on the longest pieces of my bob. I don't know what type of hair you have, but I do have a few techniques I use for my hair that is ridiculously curly/thick/long. My hair poofs out as well(hence curly), so after I wash it and it's wet, I slick it back into a low pony tail. It gives the top more of a wave versus a poof. If you choose to do this, which I'm sure will be of assistance, periodically take your hair out of the pony tail without fondling it too much(it causes frizz) and use only your hands to place it back into the tie. Do this sporadically until it's dry and continue to use your straightening iron. I once used a cream for curly hair that was called Brazil Nut, and it really helped to tame.

Also, rollers work much better than a straightening iron.. especially if you can't afford the type that will fry your hair to a crisp. I would always suggest using big rollers, versus a straightening iron. You could use the iron to touch up pieces that have went awry. I'm not sure if you do this scenario I'm about to present, but if you do.. don't! Never begin to straighten your hair if it is not fully dry. Stop playing with it when it's wet or damp. Try to let it air dry, if you are in a rush for time blow dry until it's "dry enough" and let it air dry the rest of the way. These are all of the tips I can think of, and I do hope they help. Good tidings to you and your poofy hair!

Peace, love, and philosophy.
