I have been washing my face and using a spot treatment all over my face, rather than just on individual pimples and this has worked for a long time but over the past month I've been breaking out a lot more than usual. Could it be that my skin has a tolerance and isn't responding to the salyic acid anymore? Or could it be something else? I haven't changed my diet or anything..I don't know what's causing me to break out!

do you wear liquid foundation? if so, then on other forums , there are posts about liquid foundation growing bacteria and causing breakouts and other infections! hope the helps ya!

Your skin does build up a tolerance to products like acne medications. I would try something else - if your using BP, then switch to sacilyc Acid or vice versa.

Could it be that you are breaking out from stress?

It probably just hormonal imbalances issue.

Or have you bought any new makeup products?

I think you are drying out your skin when you use the "spot treatments" all over the face plus BHA and what ever else you are using. When skin gets all dried out the top layers will glog your pores , therefor causing even more breakouts. I would back off on some of your products , just wash your face and use a spot treatments just on spots plus find a good oil free basic moisturizer , use that for a few week. I bet your skin will be better soon. Good Luck

Thanks for the tips! I do wear liquid foundation, but I change my sponges weekly. I will try switching to bp or tea tree oil. I am probably using too much sa..I just get so frustrated with it!

it could be that your treatment is drying your face out, which in turn causes you to product more oil, which then breaks you out.
