Everytime I get a pimple, a red spot is left. I don't break out all that much..but I have all these leftover red spots. I ahve fair to beige skin..maybe that is the reason? Or thick, sensitive skiN?? What should I do?

I have medium skin, and I also suffering from the same problem. I have ugly scars on both cheeks which I am fighting for months to get rid of. Nothing seems to help get rid of it.

I have the same problem- blemish goes away but the red mark stays for months! I started using neutrogena's acne mark fading peel and it seems to be working. It is supposed to prevent new breakouts as well

Glycolic Acid or AHA's. I have also used the Aspirin toner/mask and it lessens some of the redness.

I find rosehip oil to be really good for this - just put a couple of drops on before bed, and you should start seeing results in a couple of weeks. I've found it to be really effective for my sensitive skin, plus it's evened out my skintone a bit :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Same thing happens to me!! I tend to scar easily everywhere on my body. I don't worry too much because they always fade eventually and I can easily cover them with concealer. I have used vitamin E oil to fade scars, very successfully!!

I scar all over too suzukigrrl. I have some Vitamen E serum, but I don't use it because I hate the feeling. Your supposed to apply it 3-4 daily and it is so sticky and it smells bad. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Maybe I should try some oil. I've used the Neutrogena peel;it worked ok but I think you have to use it regularly to get results.

The oil I used was sort of sticky too. I only used it at night before bed. Applying 3-4 times a day sounds like a real hassle!!

Just wondering where u get those from? I use 10% Glycolic Acid but those pads sound great and way more convinient!

What kind of rosehip oil do you use? I used one before, it was organic, cold pressed, but I found it rather heavy and didn't spread well when I put it on my face. What bothered me the most was it had a strong aroma, not a bad smell at all, but kind of nutty/earthly smell. I guess it's own natural smell. Anyway I just switched to camellia oil (Silkia brand) which I love much better. I really like how it makes my skin feel. It goes on very smooth and leaves a beautiful glow.

I have quite a bit of acne scars too. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I worry Rosehip and Vitamin E oil would be too heavy and clog my pores?

What glycolic pads do you all use?

Glycolic acid products really help increase cell turnover and speeds up the healing process of left over blemishes for me.

Two of my favorites are MD Forte's Facial Cleanser II and DDF Glycolic Tonic (toner).

I usually don't use them together because they both are very strong, but on their own they are really good products and well formulated.

If you're a bit sensitive I'd try the MD Forte cleanser first. It has very few ingredients and high grade glycolic acid without any irritants in it. It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth the money.

I believe the DDF toner might have a small amount of alcohol in it, but my skin is okay with that. It works really well for me and generally gets good reviews.

Okay so I put a chart up on my bathroom mirror so that I would use Neutrogena fading peel every night, because I have used it a few times before after reading other reviews. It has been a month, and the peel has worked on the red marks on my forehead and on my chin. However, the spots on my cheek are not going away. Thats the side I always break out on anyways. I really see results where the marks were not that deep (small pimples), but where the honkers were, it is not working so well yet.

I also tried the Clearisol acne fading procuct, the one with the golf ball being dimpled and then another one being smooth. NADA.

Also, the hydraquionique (??spelling) stuff hasn't done any fading either. I'm seriously considering a sand blaster!!!

Agree with others on glycolic AHAs stuff

It's better to have red spots than dark spots though.

My skin is also prone to blemish. I usually just use mild Glycolic lotion and cleanser on every other day. Tea tree oil also great for healing the red spots on acne scars.
