i have crazy skin, sometimes its very dry and others its just normal, lately i have been having major dry patches on my face and my cheeks feel tight, dry and warm. so im having my dry spell again! my products are just not working for me ! i uses to use dove unscented bar but for some reason after a while it broke me out, but i have tried ponds pristine clean with chamomile in it for redness, olay moisturing cleansing cloths(i thought this was the best cleanser ever but after a couple of weeks its starting to dry my skin out ), some avon stuff, the dove liquid stuff, but everything makes my face feel horrible afterwards. i usually use queen helenes cocca butter to moisturize my face . but im needing a moisture rich cleanser, moisturizer and toner liotion , can anyone help!

I have been curious about the OCM for some time and with my paranoia about getting old (still single) I decided to give it a whirl(and my old method was really just fine). I've been doing it for about 2 weeks now and I'm sacred to say it but it seems like it's working wonders! I always had tons of clogged pores and now I probably have half as many! It's a very scarey thing to decide to rub oil into your face once or twice a day but TRY IT!

I went to walmart and got a bottle of Castor Oil from the belly ache section, got a bottle of Extra Virgin Olive oil and in the travel section got some of those small plastic bottles for you to take your shampoo, etc on trips. I ordered an 8 oz bottle of Jojoba Oil from ebay. The jojoba came about a week later so I started off with 1 part castor oil 3 parts olive oil, when the jojoba came I added what would be about 2-3 parts of it. I shake it well so they are all mixed up, use my fingers and rub it all over my face while the water is running and getting hot. I take a clean washcloth and get it wet with the hot water and lay it over my face for a few seconds before wiping the oil away. Sometimes I put it on right before my shower and right before I get out I rinse it off. Then apply your moisturizer...I have been using Camelia or Jojoba as a daily moisturizer and when I have time I use PureDeming's R-ALA. Twice a week I use Microdermx (AWESOME!), one a week/every other week or so I use a 30% glycolic peel.

From all the stuff I read, they say the Castor Oil is the cleaning agent. I guess it really gets down into the pores and if you use too much it will actually strip the skin and dry you out. The jojoba is supposedly the closest thing to our own sebum and has antibacterial as well as moisturizing properties. The olvie oil.....well evryone makes an olive oil cleanser so it must be good. Some people say that's all they use...olive oil to cleanse and olive oil to moisturize. I guess it works very well on hair too.

For drugstore..I like Oil of Olay products...for dept store I love Philosophy products...Neutrogena makes some good cleansers...
