I need to buy a new sunscreen soon, and I was hoping you ladies could recommend something for me. I want something that is SPF 30 or higher, is noncomedogenic (won't clog pores), and rubs in easily -- the sunscreen I used last year was hard to rub in and often left sticky white streaks on my face! If possible, I'd also prefer not to spend too much money on it since I'll only use it a few times a year -- I normally spend my days indoors and am only outside for 10 or 15 minutes, and the SPF in my makeup is enough for that! However, in early April I will be going to a baseball game in the middle of the day so I'll definitely want a sunscreen for that day, and for the few other days this summer that I'll actually spend a decent amount of time outside, since I am pale enough that I burn pretty quickly in direct sunlight...

Thanks in advance!

burts bees has a new chemical free sunscreen, but its expensive..and its only spf 15. therefore its nothing youd want, but im excited about it anyways since i like the idea of a natural sunscreen.

but, i would sugguest avons sunscreen. i used it last year and liked it well enough, plus i buy from them because the company does not test on animals. Here are the details.

AVON SUN General Protection Sunscreen Lotion SPF 40

033-198

Protection Under the Sun.

price: $9.99

can get it from the avon catalogs or online at avon.com

that is, if you want to wait for it to come to you. i dont really know any good store brands to tell you.

Thanks for the tip on Avon!

I'd say that out of the things I am looking for price is the least important ... I'd rather spend a little more if it would mean I wouldn't have to deal with that nasty stuff I used last year! (I think it was Banana Boat brand? I forget -- it was the only noncomedogenic sunscreen I could find in the grocery store, I was in a hurry and needed it the next day!)

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch is awesome. It comes in different SPF levels, and it gives a matte finish.

I 2nd, 3rd and 4th that! Neutrogena is a great company and they make great skin care products (their SPF stuff is usually recommended by a lot of local derms in Boston).

I have been using the Ultra Sheer Dry Touch for a few years now and I love it!

I'm about to buy one from Neutrogena, they have a bunch and I already trust their product. They have a couple with spf 45/+. I saw the ads in my Cosmo/Glamour when they did the suntan stories last summer.

I would say Neutrogena or Avene for the face and L'Oreal Paris' Ombrelle for your body.

Those are the two I used last summer and they are pretty good. Not too expensive, and they works! My skin usually tan easily but Ombrelle gave me the ultimate protection - my skin was still light when I came back to school! Still buying them again!

i have allwasy been a fan of neutrageena's stuff that is extra sheer

i am really pale so i have to wear like spf 45. and it is really light, doesnt feel greasy or anything

it doesnt clog my poors or leave streaks, and it has really good coverage i even use it when i go to the beach for the day

How about Kiss my face brand? I was reading about reviews. they said its not greasy and easy to apply.

I think its organic.. sell in whole food and vitamin stores in philly.

It's 30SFP, and its $10

Sounds like Neutrogenia might be one to try .... but I will keep the other recs in mind in case I don't like Neutrogenia for some reason! Thanks girls! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

the girls gave great advice. i swear by LRP Anthelios. it's a very good sunscreen, so if you're ready to pay for a more expensive product, this is totally worth it. it's called Anthelios fluide extrême. it comes in spf20, 40 and 50. it doesn't clog your pores and it's non comedogenic, and it doesn't make your skin greasy after you applied it.

you also have an after sun (posthelios) great too.

[]Hi, I also love Neutrogena because you can go high in the SPF. I also recommend Vichy's 35 & best, La Roche-Posay Anthelios XS (45). It's so amazing for acne-prone skin. Light, non-greasy but still moisturizes at the same time. And, it has a matte finish. It's definnatley my #1 cchoice but I realize you girls in the States can't get LA Roche-Posay as easily as Canada can. So, I'd say, Neutrogena or Vichy. Best of Luck, castle queen[/B]

DHC white sunscreen spf 25

not the spf you are looking for but it is a good one for the face. it goes on white but fades fast and dries to a nice matte finish. great for applying makeup on over.

I'm a huge fan of Sunsense sunscreens especially the Daily face spf 60 but they do a range of products milks, lotions, creams and in all different strengths for a really good price

Yesterday i bought an Aveeno sunblock. Its good...it says it's continuous and doesn't wear off as quickly as others. (I bought it because i use the aveeno line and just wante to stick with it). But i don't think that its all that great cuz it's a bit hard to apply and sort of heavyish. When it finishes i'll definitely buy the Nuetrogena one...a friend had recommended it and i have no idea why i didn't listen to her.
