Rec for a dark brown hair dye?

I have light brown hair, but I want to go dark, can anyone recommend one that can be bought at a drugstore?

How dark do you want to go? It all depends if you want a golden brown, or just a neutral shade. I use medium golden brown, and it is a pretty brown with just a hint of gold in the sun-:icon_smil

I like Garnier 100% color in Dark Golden Brown, and the new Herbal Essences dark brown... both are great colors. But it depends on your color now to determine whether you want golden, neutral, or ash. I like golden results on my hair, which is a med. to dark brown with red undertones. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

if you're looking for a pretty brown with a slight deep red/bronze hint to it, loreal feria has a color called brazilian brown i think.. i used it and it turned out very nicely, i got many compliments on it.. but now it's almost time for something new :icon_love anyways have fun with it

Did it fade on you quickly? I've only used Feria 2x... and both times, everytime I took a shower - I saw color washing down the drain. It just never seemed to hold up for me. :icon_conf

no not that i noticed, i did it about a month and a half ago and just the other day my mother was like wow.. your hair is really red yet (the color was more red for me because i already had a faded red base that i colored over). i use the john frieda color shampoos/conditioners and it really seems to prolong my color life :icon_wink
