So yesterday i decided i wanted to dye my hair firetruck red with blonde underneath. So far ive bleached my whole head 2 times because last night i couldnt let the blech stay in any longer ( my skin was red) so yah i rebleached it this morning and now im about to cry. Its brittle and HORRIBLE. Ive never bleached my hair. It's always been healthy. Only the top of my head is platinum blonde and the rest is brassy. So im going to just DYE it blonde. Hopefully That makes it light. Im so upset and hope to GOD my hair turns out how i wanted it/ healthy :/ so i need tips. Any home remedies used for conditioning hair??

Coconut Oil!

From now on, before you shampoo, always apply coconut oil to your hair and let it soak in. Make sure you put plastic wrap on your hair to contain the oil.

Wait an hour then shampoo and condition.

You can buy the oil at health food stores - look for pure, organic (you don't want any mineral oil mixed in with it).

breathe.. i have had multiple bleaching sessions over the past couple years and it absolutely FRIES my hair..

but dont worry you can fix it.:)

youll need a few things --

1. buy a leave in treatment with silk extract or pearl. especially if your a blonde. it works miracles. you can get this at sally beauty.

2. mane and tail conditioner - it is actually for horses! crazy huh? but everyone uses it nowadays on themselves.

3. shampoo without sulfate - it is HORRIBLY drying on your hair

4. keratin treatments - you can get this at a sally beauty supply..

now.. you can do any of these things or all of them and it will significantly improve your hair. i use all of these. and i do them in the order of 3-2-1 every day until your hair starts improving and i do number 4 about once every 2 months.

when you condition your hair try leaving it on for about 5 min and then rinse. or if you can stand it put it in your hair and sleep with it on there and rinse it in the morning.. just put a towel over your pillow.

if you have any more questions feel free to message me:)

I've had styling experience and I've recommended deep conditioning and repairing treatments for clients who had damaged hair. The best one I've found was Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil Hair Treatment Kit, it comes with quality argan oil which is known to nourish and hydrate hair to make it stronger and healthier. It's designed for damaged, chemically treated and color treated hair so it should work for you. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from it so you should give it a try :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Good luck!

I had the same problem when I died my hair blonde! It was really bad! I think what helped me a little is a really good conitioner and use the shampoo that comes with the blonde dye thing. Also maybe try straightening it....? that mihgt give it a less cringled looked and feel.....Hope i helped a little.

I'm with mtaylor007: Argon oil is the BEST for damaged hair (and really, great even for undamaged hair).  Creme of Nature has an inexpensive line that includes deep conditioning packets, and you can find a self-heating conditioning cap (it uses your own body heat) in the same section at stores like Walgreens.

There may come a point, however, where at-home remedies just won't be enough.  I'm hoping you haven't dyed your hair blonde yet, as in its current state it can't take any more chemical processing.  It's better to have brittle, brassy hair than none at all!  Should you find yourself at the end of a rope, find a good stylist in the area (if there is a local beauty school, the services are good quality for low prices) and tell her EVERYTHING you've done to your hair in the past 3 months.  She can then fix what's fixable and recommend solutions for the other issues you're experiencing.  This actually may be the best thing to do up-front, as you could potentially spend more on at-home attempts than you would at an appointment.

I've had many customers come in with similar, if not the same, problems and if the argon oil doesn't help, it's straight to the salon stylist! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Heat styling the the opposite of what you should do in this situation. Straightening it is just going to damage it further.

I used to overprocess my hair on a regular basis, and my favorite product was Redken's Anti-Snap.  It was used as a leave in product and made my hair break less.

I'm famous for coloring my hair a lot.  What help me was:

- weekly deep conditioning

- not using heat and if I did I used a heat protector

- daily moisturizing and then sealing the ends with oil (coconut or olive oil)

- using sulfate - free shampoo

But the key is moisturize, moisturize, moisturize because coloring your hair dries it out and the hair craves it more.

try these home remedies for hair

Rub oil into scalp.Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head.Keep it on for 15 minutes.Shampoo and dry well.
To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with used tea leaves or coconut milk.
Make a thick paste with fenugreek seeds and wash hair with this.
Washing hair with a weak solution of salt cleans the scalp , cures dandruff and prevents hair loss.
Beat two eggs and add two table spoons of water to it.Rinse hair and put the egg mixture over the hair.massage the scalp well and leave for ten minutes. Then wash it off with a little warm water.
Mix together coconut milk and lemon juice.massage into scalp , leave for half an hour and then rinse with warm water.
Shampoo hair regularly with shikakai, amla and reetha nuts.
Massage whipped egg white all over the scalp.Allow to dry and then wash off.

Shea butter (warmed), coconut oil, there are other oils for hair but i think this one is the best deal, great results and reasonable prices, you can get it really cheap in indian stores as well. But if the ends don't get any better after some time, consider cutting them before your hair gets more brittle and you have to cut a larger chunk. You can use it as leave in conditioner, or as a mask the night before. Also wear a sun protection, because damaged hair and sun are not good friends.
