Ok. I have to share this because I love this wax. Anyone interested in giving themselves a wax at home should look into this. Its called Sally Hansen Brazilian Formula Wax. It's very sticky and gets all the hairs out unlike some sugar waxes. I use it all the time and it has been very effective for me!

BTW, I only use it on my body because the skin on my face is too sensitive.

cool, thanks for posting! I've been disappointed with home waxing in the past so I'll have tp try this kind. Does it come with some of that awesome numbing oil too?

from experience sally hansen hair removal products are very good....i personally like their full body hair removal gel it doesn't get sticky or clumpy and removal is fast painless and clean

Sounds good. I have bad luck with body waxes. I usually buy the little premade strips for the face ( upper lip, brows, burns etc ). Thanks!

What is your process for waxing? I bought a wax heater and supplies from Sally's, but for some reason the muslin strips didn't remove the hair from my face..it was hard to get that wax off too.

Great. I'm a fellow at home, brazilian waxer, and learning about new products is always great.

HI,

Here's my process. I heat up the wax, on high, once it's a soupy liquid consistency, I turn it down, not quite to medium but somewhere between medium and high. I use muslin strips. This is what the aesthetician's I've gone to used. I buy muslin inexpensively from Joann's.

I lay down an old sheet over the area and floor where I stand, etc. I used the large spatula (they look like the ones from the DDS).

I sometimes prep the area with baby powder or a little oil; jojoba, etc. Then I spread a thin layer of wax on the area to be waxed. I do this in sections, i.e., my underarms I start at the bottom of my arm pit and work my way up. This is a three-section process.

Once done, if there is any wax residue, use an oil, jojoba, baby oil, etc. to remove the residue. HTH.

To answer questions

No it doesn't come with numbing oil, and yes it does hurt. It is best to do it when the hairs are not too long and not too short. Because having to long hairs can hurt like hell. So trim if anything.

My method is just as directions say: Heat up the wax in the microwave for 30 sec. Sometimes I will give it a minute if the wax doesn't melt enough. Then I have a candle warmer and I sit the wax on it and let it cool off. (The candle warmer isn't very HOT, but it maintains it warm). Meanwhile I cut my strips of paper to the desired size (if I am not doing a big area). Then I apply wax and apply paper, hold my skin taught and remove quickly in the opposite direction of hair growth. Everytime I remove hair I always look at it, I think it just looks so cool looking at all the hair ripped out with the bulbous root. To finish because this wax does leave you sticky icky there is a finishing oil that I apply with a cotton ball and it removes any left over residue. Then I shower because all that oil and stickyness.

If anyone tryes it let me know how it works for you. And be careful if you have really sensitive skin!

I use the extra strength one just because I am very anal about going over the same spot twice. I maintain my own Brazilian waxes, and it does the job extremely well, no complaints.

does bikini waxing cause your skin to age faster i keep on hearing this is it true??
