Rash Question :(

Hey girlies! =)

So I recently got two some of the Bare Escentuals/Minerals eye shadows. I used them each separately with a clean brush one time. A couple days after I noticed a small dry spot on my left eye lid, it started to itch sooo bad =(. It then developed into a big red rash. I was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them using the Bare Escentuals/Minerals eye shadows? I'm super bummed that this had happened because I loved the colors of the e/s's. I was also wondering if anyone had any advice to make it go away!!

I'd get rashes from BE products as well. My advice would be to just leave your skin alone. Don't use the eyeshadow or other eyeshadows until the rash is cleared up. Maybe put something soothing on it like aloe vera or take a benadryl at night.

I haven't tried the eyeshadows, but the foundation and bronzer itched me too, i think the culprit is the bismuth inside, coupled to my sensitive skin. Since then i stay away from both BE and bismuth.

I second the previous advice, avoid putting on any eyeshadow until it has disappeared, you can definitely use some aloe vera gel. Calamine lotion is good too.

My friend got the same thing and she knew it was from bare escentuals. There must be an ingredient in the product that reacts badly to some people. She stopped using it and used a gentle cleanser like cetaphil for sensitive skin and it was clear in no time. Hope that helps.
