ok, since i'll be using pure 100% aloe vera gel as a moisturizer, i'm thinking of putting it on like a mask then washing it off. i've realized that there's just no way for me to keep it on my skin, i hate the feeling of something being on it. anyhoots. how long should i keep it on for for it to fully absorb and do what it's suppose to? 15? 30? help!

About 15 mins should be enough time for it to absorb.

Here's something I found on an aloe vera acne mask:

This Aloe Vera Acne Mask Recipe

will sooth and clean

Sooth Your Skin with this simple Honey, Seaweed and Aloe Vera Acne Mask Recipe This simple Aloe Vera acne mask will leave you face feeling incredibly soft, smooth and looking absolutely radiant.

Seaweeds have been traditionally used by the Japanese to detoxify the body both internally and externally for generations. They are rich in nutrients which help to both tone and nourish the skin. Seaweed contains mineral salts that can help the skin to retain it's moisture better, which can help to smooth fine lines.

Honey has long been known for its medicinal properties. The ancient Egpytians put urns of honey in the burial chambers of the Pharohs. When discovered it was still edible. Honey is a natural humectant that is rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes and sugar. The sugar and enzymes in honey is a gentle exfoliate for the skin. Use raw honey to ensure that you get the maximum quality and benefit of this wonderful golden treat. Adding honey to your mask adds additional moisture to the skin.

Aloe Vera (the Miracle Plant) has been known for its amazing healing properties for centuries. It has been used to help heal burns, eczema, sores, acne, insect bites, and more. It is an antiseptic, highly lubricant, and will penetrate deep into the skin.

To benefit from these ingredients, create this simple mask:

1 Table Spoon of Seaweed - Kelp powder

½ Table Spoon of Aloe Vera Gel (Aloe Vera Barbadensis 99.9% pure)

½ Table Spoon of Honey (preferably raw)

Mix all ingredients together in a container. Leave to stand for 10 minutes before use. Apply mixture to a clean face. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes and rinse (don't use any form of soap) with lukewarm water. Use this mask 2-3 times a week as a part of your regular skin care program to enjoy glowing, healthy looking skin.
