Ok, I keep reading about people with oily skin loving milk of magnesia--

I kept trying to put it on with a cotton ball & it was very blotchy & uneven. Then my mineral makeup was adhering unevenly & it didn't look good at all. I finally got the idea to paint it on with a foundation brush & it worked great & I do have to say I was way less oily, BUT I also broke out that day, about 4 or 5 new big pimples, so I'm wondering if the MOM made me break out? Has anyone else ever broke out while using MOM or was it just a coincidence that I broke out the day I tried that?

I have never tried MOM.. but, I would assume that would be the culprit especially since you had never used it before that and then got a breakout that day.. Maybe you can give it another try and if it breaks you out again then you will know that its the MOM.

actually now I'm thinking maybe it's not the MOM--it's either the MOM or salt. I've been adding salt to my face wash to help with exfoliation & I was doing it before & my face was breaking out really bad, then I stopped the salt when I switched face washes & my face was clearing up, but now I added in the salt again & I am again breaking out. So it could be the salt or the MOM. I will stop both for a while & then add the MOM & see what happens.

A product can't make you break out that soon after you use it, unless it's just an allergic rash. It's probably something you've been using longer.

OK, I've been using the MOM again the last 2 days & so far no probs, I actually love the way it controls oiliness!

So I'm really thinking that using the salt to scrub with is the culprit of my acne.........just seems odd to me.............

I'm not sure if I broke out from MOM but it didnt help with oily skin. So I stopped using it.
