Hey girls,

I just bought the Murads Acne Complex kit, which indlues the Clarifying Cleanser, Exfoliating Treatment Gel, Spot Treatment, and Perfecting Lotion. The instruction manual gives the steps for a basic routine (twice a day, spot treatment when needed, etc), but I was wondering if you've had to adjust your makeup routine at all when doing your morning cleansing routine?

It says to wash with the cleanser, apply the gel, and finally the lotion. So do you just do that and then put your makeup on as usual? I also use MAC Fix+ spray under my makeup, as well as a MAC primer, so do I still use those as normal?

I don't know, it just seems like the gel plus the lotion plus my fix+ and primer would be a bit much.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Good luck with that! Yup...check out Tee's thread! She kept us pretty well updated on her progress with that line!

Murad didn't work for me. It made me worse. The only thing that worked for me after so many years is MaMa Lotion.

you should follow the instructions for your murad regime, then apply your makeup just as you would have before. my experience with murad didn't go so well, either, but i hope that it works well for you! keep us posted!

UGH, you girls were SO right. I've barely been using it a week and already my skin looks awful. At first it was awesome... my skin looked even and was clearing up, and my makeup looked flawless. But then it took a turn for the worst. At first I thought, "well, maybe it has to get worse before it gets better," but my skin is just blotchy and gross so I'm not feeling like that's the case.

I called Sephora to see about returning it, and they said that's fine. They're sending me a return label so I don't have to pay for shipping. Does anyone know if it matters that I didn't save the original packaging?

I've heard good things about MaMa Lotion... I may order it later today. I just feel so bleh about my skin right now.
