Purchasing habits

I'm curious as to how you guys buy things - do you tend to just purchase things that interest you, or do you wait until you actually need it or run out of what you currently have? I ask because I thought of myself as the latter until I organized my cosmetics yesterday and found I had 8 different primers (most of them deluxe sample size, to be fair!) If you have pictures of your collection, all the better haha for some reason I love looking at (and envying) what others have!

I buy things for two reasons:

1) I buy something for a specific reason and these tend to be products I have researched because I plan to use them frequently. Foundation and things like that.

2) I buy something because I think it might be fun to play with or it fits a certain idea I have for a self portrait. This primarily is eye shadow and things like that.

I have a fairly small stash at the moment, but I am working on growing it a little so I have more options. Because my stash is so small, I am not really at the point of running out and replacing things, but I generally do not buy duplicates (similar colors, etc) unless what I have is not working. Foundations are one thing I am constantly looking for and I have a few but none of them seem to match perfectly.

I tell myself I'll buy if I will actually use it more than once.

In reality, I buy things that I think I'd use, in some alternate reality where I don't look like crap all the time.

My buying habits are really really strange. For example, Illamasqua had a halloween sale yesterday and I filled up my shopping cart with things that received a high review or things I want for my stash. I was close to checking out but I end up backing out because I think I could be spending that money on something else. It's like I get buyers remorse before it even happens! Haha!

I buy things becoz I m obsessed with buying.

I have an obsession with cheek products. I have 300 over cheek products and I'm still on the look out for more blushers >.<

I think it's kinda of a sickness.... I need to go to Blushaholic anoymous LOL!

This is jus my MAC blushers alone not inclusive of the other brands I have (not updated though...bought some more MAC blushers since the last I took this pic :xd)

I buy limited editions if I like them, whether I need it or not, because I won't be able to get it later.  Or, if there is a really good sale I go ahead and buy.
