Hi there girls!! I watched this show where this lady (early forties) had a chemical peel done to get rid of undereye crinkles and crows feet. A Dermatologist performed the peel. Has anyone done this? Did it work? And, how often do you have to have it done to keep the same effect? My birthday is coming up (the BIG 45), and I want to do something all for myself. Let me know what you think.

Nope, I've never had it done. Never seen it either though. Hopefully someone else has more info for you!

I bought MUAC Lactic Acid and Glycolic Acid peels and use them. I heard they are the same the professionals use. I use it for evening out skintone. It works to a limit

I would be scared to do it at home. From what I saw on this program, that poor woman was experiencing a real burning sensation. I would be afraid of burning myself.

Having a derm do it is more intense therapy...they can do in a shorter time what at home peels do...

Kae, does it work to get rid of fine lines under the eyes? And how much does it cost to have the derm do it? Leslie.

I think that was a strong peel the derm was using on that woman. I would be extremely hesitant to use it around the eyes to get rid of wrinkles there.

It may be a TCA peel, but I am not sure if that is used around the eyes. That is a stronger peel then a glycolic.

I do my own at home. I bought if from platinumskincare.com. Although it is not as strong as a professional(because the p.h. is higher) I do believe it is doing a decent job helping with the lines on my forehead and my crows feet.
