I know what you're talking about though - so you can try something like that, then maybe after you're done ironing, flip your hair over - spray a volumizing hairspray, shake it, and flip back over.

No problem! lol I know what you're talking about, but sometimes no matter how much you try for volume, using an iron will just negate it. Try the root lifters and volumizers when your hair is damp... and the hairspray at the end should help a bit too
