Hi, i just thought i would put together this thread about products that can be bought from QVC or other source. QVC is a shopping chanel hosted by different experts for different products, like skincare, haircare, makeup and personal care. The show is always hosted and the products are tried and tested by beauty experts for the viewer. All their products come with a 30 money back guarantee but the reason i love qvc is because they have Beauty show's (In the salon with Alsion) and Beauty Workshop's (learning about the makeup and how to use it) there is Problem Solver's and Salon Secret's. It's amazing what you can actually learn about your skin the products and it's very informative. They sell products that are used by celebs and that deliver results.Definaltey worth watching (but lock your credit card up and try and get it cheaper on ebay) or treat yourself once in a while and take advantage of the today's special value (usually a Very good deal you wont be able to resist)!

Ive spent a small fortune there myself

I'm Karrie and I'm a QVC addict. (Hi Karrie)

I agree Pauline. It is a wonderful resource for beauty products. In fact a lot of the time their prices can be less than ebay. I try to just purchase things that are a special price. The QVC price much of the time is retail price. So these are things I can get at Nordstrom for the same price and not pay shipping and handling. Plus like you said the 30 money back return policy can't be beat. YOu can try new products and if you don't like them send them back! I love that. I bought a product they have on QVC all the time from someone on ebay because it was cheaper but when I got the product I didn't like it. So I'm stuck with it...

Hi Karrie, i love qvc too! I agree with you about there being a lot of information etc and of course the TSV and 30 day money back guarantee is great.I think that's especially important when spending a lot of money on high quality skincare and makeup (and none of their products are tested on animals). I use the Australian Bodycare Products and think they are amazing for problem skin (acne exema dermatis etc). I bought a really good pair of Shavita tweezer's and love them, though i wasn't impressed with the eyebrow stencils but ive nought lots of things that have been really good quailty and i got my Mother hooked on the Collagen Gel (and the tweezer's

I love watching the beauty workshops and learning about all the different products. It's so easy to become a QVC addict.

Hi,

One of the reasons I like QVC (and HSN for that matter) is that you can use flex pay, which will allow you to pay for some of your beauty purchases in 2-3 payments instead of one.

Hi Blueeyedgirl,. I agree! Those easy payments are a godsend!

I was watching it the other day when they were doing a presentation on Nicholas Perricone's products.....and I noticed one or two of them could actually be purchased with flex pay, lol! The individual flex payments on his products would still be too pricey for me, but it's nice to know they offer that.

Hi blueeyedgirl,
I would love to try his products but ouch! the price is very inhibitive(i think this is a word...)

Have either of you tried Laura Geller Spackle? I tried the Genie product but I wasn't really inpressed. How do they get it to work so well on tv?

Ladies - I hear u on the flex pay and the 30 day guarantee/full refund. It's a great way to try the products out w/out being stuck with them if u don't like them.

No - have not tried the Laura Geller's Spackle but would love one of these days.

I love the 30 day return policy too! wish I would have bought Genie from them instead of off ebay...

It's funny. When I watch some of the beauty shows(LOVE day of beauty!!)I often wonder if other MUTers are watching too. Now I know. YAY!

I know! As I said, I am an addict! Much of the time I watch because there are a lot of good tips on application and how to use products I already have. It's fun to me to see what new goodies are coming out. I am a lost cause I'm afraid. I really should have parental control lockout on QVC, HSN and ShopNBC. hehehehe

LOL, i often wonder if other MuT's are watching the shows too! Sometimes i will send in a text message as they run it along the bottom of the screen. Next time i do i will mention MuT! (I promise)

Another reason i like the Beauty Show's is because it;s good for reminding me of techniques and i always try and use the products i already have.(saves a fortune too)

Does any remember the time when AY went through a stage of being cheeky to the models? I do and i sent in a text to say so!...ha ha ha I hated the way she was always cheeky to the models (especially the preganant one's) I said in my text that the models were just as much a past of the shows and qvc as the presenter's!

Has anyone else tnt in any texts to QVC???? Good or bad?

I think QVC in the states is different from the UK. No text messaging that I am aware of. They do take phone calls from viewers to talk about the product.

So what do you mean by 'cheeky'? I love the models on QVC here. They have all different ages, sizes, races and they are all real. Like some even have blemishes...can you believe it??? hehehe

Hi Karrieanne, yes i would imagine that qvc UK and USA are different. In the UK they have a new system where you can send in a text message, usually they only show texts messages which rave about a particular product along the bottom of the tv screen. Some viewer's might ask for advice about a particular product and the presenter will answer the query.

Anyone who watches qvcUK Beauty Show's etc will know Alsion Young. You either love her or hate her! Personally i love her (when she;s not giving the models a hard time). You would have to actually see her in action to know what i mean about her personality. I think she had a lot of complaints at one time regarding her treatment of the models. In fact i know she did, becuase she joked she better be nice to the models or she would lose her viewer's.I will try and post a piccie of her here for you to see her.

I'd like to see her in action. Sounds like she may be a tad insecure...?

Being a QVC host is my absolute dream job! Wouldn't that be so fabulous?

I went to QVCUK website and there is a page with Alison Youngs beauty picks. There is a little blip about her that says she's respected through the industry for her professional approach and impartial advise. hehehe

She is quite lovely. Maybe she is just a bit insecure around the models. Who knows. I might be too!!! lol

i love qvc, as you ladies said be4, you can do flexpay which is great , and you can see how the product looks on a person, so its cool

Hiya, I agree that you can get good tips from watching the beauty shows. I got introduced to the Liz Earle skin care range by QVC. The Brightening Treatment and Intensive Nourishing Treatment are both great!

Hi pinkangel! Welcome to MUT!

Here in the states I don't think they offer that skin care line. While checking out Miss Young on the uk website I noticed products we don't get...
