13.5 fl.oz. Bottle / 400 ml

Retail: $8

A little over a month ago Yves Rocher sent me a box of items for my personal use and for review purposes. Among the items sent was the Yves Rocher Pineapple - Coconut Smoothie Shower Cream in the 13.5 oz bottle which retails for $8 and is a LIMITED EDITION product so once sold out that's it. I started using it about two weeks ago but has also been using a body wash from a different company alternating days between the two products. I was also sent the Mango - Passion Fruit Smoothie Shower Cream which has now sold out in the large bottle but is still available in the travel size for $2.50. The large bottle of Pineapple - Coconut Smoothie Shower Cream is still available full size for $8 and travel size for $2.50.

The Pineapple - Coconut Smoothie Shower Cream has a clear fruity scent and there is no mistake that it has pineapple and coconut in it, it really reminds me of a good piña colada that's not too overpowering, it has the perfect balance of both scents. Some times some products are just too coconut smelling or too pineapple smelling so it's sickening sweet but I don't think this is one of those products and for me it has a nice balance of both scents. If I didn't like it I'd pass it on to my daughters as I have with other products. Once I'm done with my shower and towel off my skin has only a hint of pineapple and coconut so I'm not drowning in a heavy scent.

I'm not using a lot of it, a little more than quarter size amount but less than a half dollar size. The bottle was filled right below the bottom of the cap when I first began to use it and as you can see in the image to the left I've used only a small fraction of product in the last two weeks but since I'm alternating with another product it's more or less about a week's worth used. It's a nice and thick but not too thick like a body lotion or cream.

The ingredients include coconut milk, pineapple extract, organically grown witch hazel water, botanical glycerine, botanical cleansing base. For those with sensitivities to any of the ingredients this is NOT for you because it does contain natural ingredients.

Now the downside of the Pineapple - Coconut Smoothie Shower Cream is the the bottle itself. The bottle is a rigid plastic bottle but the shower cream is not so thick and you have to squeeze it out of the bottle. The thing that I really don't like about it is the screw on cap; I have to set the cap down to pour a small amount onto my loofah then put the loofah down to put the cap back on. Had this been a pump top, a squeeze bottle or a flip top I would have been happier with the packaging itself. The other issue I had with the top being the way it is, is that I feel that I waste product compared to other shower gels and creams that I've used that have that flip top or pump. I'm probably going to transfer the rest into a squeeze bottle such as one of these below. I'll probably get the squeeze bottle in it keep the cream at the bottom and since it's pretty thick this might be the best solution for me.

Overall I like the Pineapple - Coconut Smoothie Shower Cream from Yves Roche. I've used their products in the distant past and know that they have quality products that are made in France. I know once I'm out of both shower creams that were sent to me I'm going to buy either the Organic Vanilla Shower Gel ($8) since I tend to like vanilla products or the AOC Olive Oil Shower Gel ($8). The one I know I'll NEVER try is their Organic Raspberry Shower Gel one as I'm allergic to raspberries and they use the extracts from plants and fruits in their products so I'm willing to bet there's real raspberries in it.
