I feel like I have a pimple trying to surface because the area feels tender but when I look into a mirror there is nothing there. Is there any tips to ptrevent it from coming up? :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

me too ...

usually i just put a bit of alcohol on it. or i use auréomycine, it's a greasy little cream designed for that purpose. works well.

aveeno clear complexion blemish treatment or mama lotion usually work right away for me!

I use a spot treatment also. There are several good ones you can use depending on what your skin can handle. Clinique makes one with salycylic (sp?) acid, or Body Shop has pure tea tree oil, or even just a dab of clearasil.

I have heard that you could apply ice to the area

One the skin for 5 minutes off for 5 minutes for about 1/2 hour

I also tend to use just a bit of alcohol and just put the spot treatment on a few times a day and it's usually diminished fairly quickly...in a day or so

Spot treatment to the rescue!

I use acne barrier tea tree oil for pimple spot treatment and it always works like a charm!

Awhile ago, a spot treatment that worked for me when the pimple wasn't visible wasn't salicylic acid, instead it was benzoyl peroxide. Clean and clear made a 10% benzoyl peroxide solution and it was surprisingly effective at smoothing things out and reducing the inflammation and tenderness. It may be too harsh for some people though, but if you have generally strong skin, it's worth a try.

Thanks for the replies evry1. Luckily the pimple didn't surface as much as I thought it would. It's a small colorless bump. I did apply tea tree oil to it so that might have helped it from getting bigger.
