Im going to use Nivea Summer Beauty.

Last time I used it I exfoliated my body, but still got streaky.

Can I use a normal lotion first and let it set for about 1-2h THEN do nivea over that?

I assume I got streaky because I didnt exfoliate enough/well or Im just dry. (And Im very dry skinned.) I do like this product though, it goes in fast and takes a couple of days to build the color up, and doesnt go orange/yellow on me.

Anyone got any tips? Also, anyone know any topic or article about self tanning compared to beds and tanning naturally?

(I searched the forum for self tanning topics/posts but found NOTHING, while going WAY back in the begining of the posts, I found some, but not with the information I wanted.)

I use nivea summer beauty too! It's weird that it streaked on you as its supposed to be a moisturizer mostly. What I do with other tanners ( I tend to streak as well) is scrub with sugar and water in the shower, add a layer of gel moisturizer, let it dry then put on my sunless tanner. Go light with the tanner around joints and creases ( knees , ankles , wrists) they tend to be naturally darker and dryer , so using a lot of tanner there will lead to streaking if it settles in the fine lines.

HTH!

Thanks for the tip, Ill try that.

I think I get streaky alot because I got dry skin from being dehydrated.

Even if its a lotion it wont help alot. So Ill try to drink 2l a day as well, and scrub.

Then see how that works.

i usually exfoliate, use a mostiurizing body wash, put the sunless tanner on, wait a few hours, then put my regular moisturizer on.

Also, I have gotten streaking with certain brands. Not all brands are formulated the same way, so some will work better with your body chemistry than others.

The best advice I have is to keep your skin exfoliated when you shower everyday. Then in case you want to add color in layers, it goes on smoothly each time you build it up.

So I can still exfoliate without losing the color? I was afraid of scrubbing it off.

I dunno why but I cant use the stuff or the dove one, My friend had it and it looked good on her but me, it went streaky and i know more about self tan, I stick to st tropez, But if you like something more of a moistirizer st tropez have brought out a new moisturizer with a hint of self tan, that'd be worth a try.

Ill look in to that, thanks!
