I translated this from an Icelandic beauty magazine for you guys. Hope you like it:
Start by pressing a cloth to the eyebrow area that has been wet with well lukewarm water - then the pores will open and it'll be easier to pluck the hairs. Comb through the brows so the hairs will lie normally.
1
Hold a pencil to your nose so it'll point upwards - the eyebrow should start right above the place where the nostril ends. Then lean the pencil so it'll lie up to the nostril but leads to the outer eyecorner - the eyebrow should extend to the pencil.
2
Stretch the eyelid a bit by pulling the skin with your finger. Start by plucking hairs that are obviously outside of the eyebrow bow or between the eyes. Pluck in the same direction as the hair grows - then it won't hurt as much.
3
Draw a line with a white eyepencil along the lower edge of the eyebrows to define their shape - then you'll see well what hairs need to be removed. Always pluck first one row of hairs and then another if needed - and pluck the eyebrows in turn so they'll be as similar as possible.
4
End by cleaning the skin that's been plucked. Wet a cottonball in an alcholol free toner and stroke it gently over the entire eyebrow area - this will calm and soothe the skin that may be a little red and swollen.
Good and bad:
Good - Getting help at a salon if the first try to pluck the eyebrows fails
Bad - Stretching the skin too much while plucking - it can become sore
Good - Plucking the eyebrows the day before the party - then the skin can heal a bit
Bad - Plucking the eyebrows while with a cream on the skin - then the hairs will be slippery
Good - Using a good plucker - else the hairs can break and the skin become red
Bad - Plucking inside of the eyebrow - it can leave ugly gaps
