Heya everyone,

I know the skin around your eyes is very delicate and thin. My two blackeyes that are permently there, make me feel so low.. so I always wear concealer. The concealer I've been using is (Collection 2000 cover up stick £1.99) I know its crap but that was the only one I could afford at the time. My skin under my right eye has swelled up and gone really red, I think some of the skin has peeled away. I don't know what to do to make the skin around my eyes feel better and help prevent this. It looks awful and combined with the dark circles I look like I've been in a boxing ring.. I'm only 16 so imagine what they will look like when I'm in my 20s. (They are hereditary, damn my mother :p /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> )

*I've ordered Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer which should be better for around my eyes, can't wait to try it out*

I think the skin is acting upon some chemical in the concealer, and I suggest that you stop using it. And for the swelling, try puting ice on it, since it's a reaction, and keep the area clean for the night.

If this all fails, then I suggest that you visit you local pharmacy and see if they can suggest something. I'm sorry that it truned out bad, but do let me know how your skin is to BB...

Thanks for the help! I have stopped useing it I'm just gonna have to look like I've got black eyes for the next few days. I used that concealer for about a month and it was ok on my skin but it didn't look nice, I would'nt recommend that concealer its just cheap and usless you may aswell pay the extra and get something that works. Anyways thanks for replying xxxxxx

stop using the concealer...put some cool teabags or some cucumbers on your eyes or witch hazel and rest them...then go to the store and buy a cheap product called vita-K...or any vitamin K product--this product for the eye area is a gel that contains high levels of vitamin K and it actually makes the capillaries in the under eye area stronger and less prone to leaking blood into that area...i have definite dark areas under my eyes that are almost gone after using the vitamin K...

also, make sure you have enough potassium rich foods in your diet...drink plenty of water--and dont drink a lot of caffiene and have enough sleep--that should help you! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hey, let us know how the BB is! I have a similar prob to you and would like to find the perfect moisturising concealer, the search is killing me LOL :icon_smil Good luck with it hun

sorry you're going through this, you've got my full sympathy as I'm pret near allergic to any facial creams there are ...

I wouldn't recommend putting a whole lot on your eyes now, time is the best thing to heal it, though I agree, tea bags work wonders, also, a cool cloth, like a cold wet facecloth just held over your eyes can provide relief. If you've got the swelling any more than 24 hours I would get an anti-allergy pill, sometimes something as simple as a reactin pill can clear these things up quickly

I was going to suggest what Becka wrote..and that you keep a constant supply of an anti-histamine in the house like Benadryl.

I have nut allergies and so I take Benadryl wherever I go in case I need it;

and it sounds like you suffered an allergic reaction to the stuff.

This has happened to me before with many eye products, so I feel for you.

I'm glad to hear it is getting better!

Thanks for all the help girls! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> its healing up now, I won't wear that concealer anymore. Can't wait to try out the Bobbi Brown Creamy concealer, lets hope it work miracles (¬.¬ knowing my luck it won't)
