I have noticed recently that the lines around my eyes are getting deeper.

i am making a conscious effort to really care for my skin. I have been using the aspirin maskmixed in yogurt twice a week followed by Aloette enzyme peel to remove any dead skin. At night I use the OCM and every week I steam my face. After cleansing my skin with the oil ( I use the Aloette version with castor oil mixed in) I apply my homemade vitamin c serum and then I use the age defiance and lumitone serum from Aloette followed by the advanced eye recovery. Finally once everything has had time to penetrate the skin I apply a thin layer of vaseline to my skin.

I have never noticed these lines before when I smile they are not the crow's feet but at the bottom of my eye.

Can anyone explain what is happening?

Any other experiences like this?

I read a post where someone was talking about the copper peptides and they went through a phase called the uglies, is this it?

I haven't used the enzyme peel underneath my eyes because I was thinking that the skin is far to delicate for the mechanical rubbing that is required.

Please help!!!!!!

Are you using an eye cream of some kind? You might just have dry skin there that needs moisture. Drink more water and get enough sleep also. Or, I don't know how old you are, but I have a few of those lines under my eyes. It's called aging. lol...j/k. Seriously, though...aging makes that happen.

maybe you are just noticing them now because you have started to pay attention to your eyes now? I have lines under my eyes but its just where the skin folds when you look down...everyone has them, even my 10 yr old cousin (lol, I checked!)

But I only properly noticed them when I started to take better care of my skin.

Otherwise, just be careful about the amount of rubbing you do in that area, if you are using a lot of products that require rubbing off, like the OCM with a washcloth, than just be extra delicate around the eye area...

Not sure what the uglies refer to!! :S

Are you wearing a high PPD sunscreeen during the day? It's one of the best things you can do for your skin. The skin around your eyes might just be a little dry. You could try using a night cream with retinoids (RoC is good) to plump up the area a little.

Holy cats you use a lot of products.

I only use Retin A for both acne and cosmetic reasons.

At night, I apply it all over my face, including up to my lower lasher. (I don't apply it on upper lid or under brows).

In the morning, I wash my face then apply moisturizer with spf 15.

Once a week I exfoliate with baking soda.

I am not rough with any part of my face.

I think if you ignore the lower eyelid area, you will have more wrinkles there in proportion to the rest of your face.

Sorry - don't know about any uglies.

I will be 35 years old this October

I just noticed these wrinkles maybe in the last month?

I don't believe that I am or my skin is dehydrated!

In my humble opinion you just doing too much stuff to your face right now. Do you really need to apply so much stuff to it? You probably getting crow's feet from pulling and stugging the eye area, and also it is loosing it;s moisture by overdrying it with the mask. I think get a good eye cream with like Q10 enzyme to recover the eye area and to hide the lines.
