Ok...my skin is dry by my nose and corners of my mouth and sometime near my chin and I am breaking out...I have tried so many cleansers. I need one that wont dry out my skin but get rid of the pimples...if you can think of any DS brands please let me know! Thank you girls!

my skin is like that too, i use Cetaphi Cleanser from the d/s cuz it's gentle .. but a lot of girls here like the neutrogena line

I agree with LVA. I'm a fan of the Cetaphil Cleanser. They have one for sensitive skin, too ( which I have ).. and it's one of the only cleansers that dosen't dry me out. If you wear alot of make up you may want a good make up remover to use with it, though. It dosen't seem to get off eye make up very well but, as far as cleansing the skin.. I'd definately try it if you have dry or combo skin.

I use clean and clear oxygenating facial scrub to slough off dead skin cells and i moisturize with dove night cream. I have extremly sensitive skin and it's really dry because I'm on two swim teams, and both the products really help me out.

Do you do peels to get rid of the dry skin? If not, that could be whay you r breaking out...the dry skin is blocking your pores. If you haven't tried it yet...try a lactic of glycolic peel and plenty of moisturizer.

I used this little routine - and it is SO great!! It keeps me moisturized all day, doesn't clog my pores, has made my skin better AND has taken away alot of the redness from previous breakouts (I used have pretty bad skin, it's getting much better with what I use...)

Once daily (night usually, morning is usually a mild cleanser like cetaphil) the packaging is a little different (like an orange lid now):

Follow what it says, but you need to scrub pretty gentle.

Then after you face is completely dry:

This is actually OK to use under makeup - but make sure it it soaked into your skin first! Try to use a makeup that's totally oil-free, or meant for acne prone skin (I use Almay for now, until I sample Everyday Minerals)

My skin isn't perfect I will admit - but this has gotten closer than ANYTHING I have tried!!! I have yet to try ProActiv...that's next, when I get money haha!

If nothing else - you need to try the moisturizer, it's a godsend haha

Proactiv works but it's extremely drying. I used almost 2 full sets and I swear I aged 5 years...tons of crinklies. I have also see a lot of people writing that it stopped working after a while.

IMHO, try some other things first cause once the wrinkles set in, they're there. A lot of times less is better...use an extra mild cleanser(olive oil soaps are nice), moisturize immediately after patting dry to seal in your moisture, & exfoliate (glycolic peel is awesome).

Have you all gone over the acne.org and checked out their regimen? I haven't done it but a lot of people on that site and there's a lot of feedback.

The Derms that I have worked with say that Cetaphil & Neutrogena products are the best cleansers..even if you don't have sensitive skin..and that most Benzoil Peroxide products are too harsh...They recommend a 2.5 or 3 % of these..so that excessive drying does not occur...and a good non oily moisturizer...HTH

I have lots of info about acne in my notepad, just click the link in my signature! I'm too lazy to type it up here

I am currently using Cetaphil cleanser with a Buf Puf sponge, which both cleanses and exfoliates. Honestly, I don't think the cleanser I use makes a bit of difference in my acne because I have tried several. What's most important for keeping my acne away is that I use Neutrogenia's On-The-Spot Treatment! (2.5% benzoyl peroxide -- just as effective as the other brands' 10% solutions but much less drying!)
