This is a weird question but I have a small brown beauty mark on my face a little above my lip and I wish it was a little darker.

I was wondering, has anybody here ever tattooed a beauty mark on or tattooed an existing beauty mark to make it bigger or darker? And did it just come out looking natural?

I think it would work, but I don't know if I'd risk it. If you do it, I'd go to a very reputable salon/office and make sure they're done it before and can show you pictures of what it will come out like.

it sounds like it would be an easier job than regular tatooing since they have don't have to 'draw' the mark in.

That being said, I would seek medical advice first, some moles/beauty spots can become cancerous if they're fooled around with..

I definetly think that you could get the result that you are looking for by tatooing over a beauty mark. It would be darker and permanent. I would get it done at a very reputable salon and make sure to choose the right color (one darker than your original beauty mark). But the most imporant thing is that I would go to a dermatologist and get professional advice. It may not be healthy for the beauty mark to place needles and ink into it.

I agree with the other girls, make sure it isnt hazardous to get it done!

I have a beauty mark under my lip which I like alot, and its dark enough that it stands out on its own, but I imagine if I wanted to make it darker so it stood out more with my makeup or something, why not just dab in some dark brown pencil or eyeshadow. Sure its temperary but it would only take a few seconds and you'd essentialy get the same result?

Im thinking along the lines of people that sometimes go get eyeliner tatooed because they are too lazy to apply it every morning. If you have a better reason I understand, but really is that risk and pain worth it? It only takes a few minutes tops to apply some each day!

Yeah, it would work to tattoo it a bit darker, but consult your doctor first like Rosie says to make sure it is ok. Good luck!

This is a first! Usually people post asking how to get rid of marks on their face. LOL!! I'd consult a professional dermatologist or a plastic surgeon before you mess around with it just to be safe!
