Does anyone know if a peel would make your skin burn when out in the sun? It's been a couple days (2 to be exact) since the peel, and today when I went to lunch with a friend, my skin would start burning and itching! I'm not sure if it was because of the peel or if it was the Bare Minerals (BM has NEVER done that before). It was crazy. In the shade I was perfectly fine.

I don't know if it would burn/itch in the sun, but I do know that peels can make your skin more sensitive to the sun and that you should always wear an SPF of 20-30 when you go out.

It is important to avoid overexposure to the sun after a chemical peel since the new skin is fragile and more susceptible to complications. SOURCE

Hmmm, very interesting. BM has an SPF of 15...so I wonder if the sun was still irritating it that much to make it burn and itch a little. Makes me sad, because I really want to keep using that peel. The weird thing is, I still haven't really seen any skin peeling from it yet.

Is a peel supposed to make your skin peel? I t'hought you cannot really see the skin peeling, it happens but not to the point you can see it. Unless you used a super strong peel?

I'm not really sure. That's what is confusing me, because the last time I had a peel at this salon I go to, they used the lightest peel and my skin actually peeled a little bit within 2 days afterwards.

is this peel stronger than what u are used to ? my first peel made me itch

I'm not sure what it was yesterday, but today when I was out in the sun it didn't burn or itch.

I've never used a peel, but it seems like it could've been the peel that caused this from the sounds of it.
