Hi, it's been awhile since I've posted, but I do lurk here. Y'all are so helpful to each other, so I thought I would ask what you think of the Paula's Choice skin care. I have combo/oily t-zone, with the occassional breakout. She seems like she knows her stuff, so I was thinking of giving her line a try. Can anyone who has tried or uses her line tell me what you think?

Thanks, Sheila :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hi Sheila,

I've been using her line for about a year now, and i absolutely love it. I have combo skin, with a slightly oily t-zone and dry cheeks. I really think you should try it out, which is really easy because you order samples first. That way you won't spend too much money when it doesn't work for you.

If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask!

never tried her products and have some issues about some of her advice as well!

Do you mind telling me which products you use?

Thanks :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Do you feel she doesn't give very good advice? Just curious why you have issues.

I use:

Skin Balancing Cleanser

Skin Balancing Toner

2% BHA liquid (pm)

1% BHA lotion (am)

Skin Balancing Moisture Gel

Completely Emollient Moisturizer (just cheeks)

Completely Non-Greasy Sunscreen

I would like to try her BHA as well. I use Canada'a version of Retin A and I would like to add an AHA or BHA to my skin care. I have really oily skin so I believe the BHA is better.

I didn't know that she offers two different BHA.

If I have to chose only one, which would you recommend and why - if you have a minute to explain. Thanks

She actually has five different BHA products for the face:

1% BHA gel and lotion

2% BHA gel, lotion and liquid

When i first started, i used the 1% lotion, but it wasn't strong enough for me. Then, i started using the 2% gel, but i don't really like the texture and it leaves a sticky feeling to my face. Right now i use the 2% liquid, which is quite harsh compared to the others, but most effective in my opinion.

It's hard to give any advice which one to use, because it depends on how sensitive your skin is and if you have stubborn blackheads or pimples. If you have really sensitive skin, i think you should be careful with the 2% liquid and maybe the 2% lotion is better. If you have really stubborn blackheads, like me, the 2% liquid is best to use. I think you should only use the 1% products if you don't have a lot of blackheads or pimples.

Maybe you can read some reviews about her products on makeupalley.com, these really helped me a lot.

If you have anymore questions, just ask!

Viviana
