i have had reallyyy chapped lips for the last 3 days, and even though ive been using vaseline constantly for the last 3 days, i still had flaky bits around my lips..

anyway, i switched to using palmers cocoa butter solid this morning (few hours ago) and the flakes are gone, my lips are soft and back to normal!!

would really recommend as a quick fix for lips or any other dry bits...

that doesn't surprise me, cocoa butter is a common ingredient in lipbalms. i never tried with pure cocoa butter though.

Is the palmers cocoa butter solid in a stick? like an extra large lip balm? I have that and it works really well for dry lips.

Hi,

Thanks for the great tip. I also have the same problem if I try to use vaseline.

Mmm.. I've tried this. Apparently Paula Begoun (cosmeticcop.com) said Cocoa Butter is an irritant? Don't know if this is true, but I must admit that this and jojoba oil (for my face) are my go-to's for drugstore natural moisturizers.

i once had a boyfriend who used it on his face on the area that he shaved and it was as smooth as a babys bum... the cocoa butter stick

Cocoa butter is good for your skin...just don't know if its good for the skin on your face. I'm not sure but i'll think it would clog pores (i have no idea)

But i heard that it helps fade away marks on your skin.
