Oucchh Oucchh 1st time Brazilian!!!

Okie ever since I've reached my puberty, I've done only shaving..Since my big dayz are around the corner, i just wanted to do a brazilian waxing to see how its gonna be like.Ive a really tanned coochie and lil scars here n there (thanks to the razor cutz),thought waxing can minimize the appearance of the darker skin by pulling dead cells..?I dont know lolz!

I stepped into thiz salon called Strip( they're quite famous in Singapore) and they just have opened their very first branch in here.As for the first timers, she asked me if i have any allergies or under any medications.Passed that, i was brought to a really nice room (its more like a elongated phone booth) where I saw a long bed and a mini closet, and a word "breathe"scriptured on the wall lolz! She said that's their theme in order to remind their customers to breathe in everytime they feel the pain.I was like daym this isnt gonna good.Ive a low pain tolerance as well, althou I'll wax my arms and legs every month, still different parts would be reacting differently..She asked me to remove my jeans and panties and just lie down.One leg folded and one stretched aside.From time to time she was asking me to be relax.Her face changed when she saw my coochie..errr lil hairy for someone who hasnt shaved for 2 weeks.She said it looks thick and might be lil painful.There she goes again..daym!!lolzzz!! I did a normal lavender waxing (yeap its lilac coloured more like a melted chewing gum).She cleaned the area with antiseptic,applied the wax and pulled!!!oooohhhhhhh now datsss painful!!And this process went on all over , I felt more intense on the V area n the lips as she said there were many ingrowns(needed to be tweezed later).My crack didnt hurt much,maybe lil hair. 20 mins and all gone! She applied a serum (recommended for the first timers).I saw the stirpped wax and was so shocked to see my pubic hairss!!!!!dannggg its soo thick and strong n shiny, better than my head hair lolzzz!!SHe said this thickness is caused by razor...I cant be forking out USD 30 every month for waxing right? /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

She could have trimmed you before waxing. But every aesthetician is different. It shouldn't be as painful next time, 1. you know what to expect, 2. your hair won't be so long/thick.

You should have definitely trimmed a bit before you got waxed though. Thanks for sharing that.

for me,its painful only at that time,like needles pricking at ur heart...but then after all is done, it'll be okie

She said trimming will make the hair short and harder to be pulled complete;y.It'll only ripped off half or might not pulled completely.I read somewhere that we shoud keep it as long as 2 mm so that it'll be just nice to get waxed off ( of coz I didnt take a ruler n measure lolzz!!)I just left it and actually it's much easier with this lenght..

Next time you can try and take 600mg-800 mg of advil an hour or so beforehand...it'll help with the pain (a little!!)

But the pain is gone now..only lingers abt 1-2 hr n reduced!

Sorry to laugh, that was an entertaining read though!!

It gets better I promise and deffo take some painkillers next time, it helps!!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I wanted to ask a couple of questions - Are you happy with the results? Did it come out the way you expected? How long will it be before the hairs start growing back? Did the waxing help lighten the area?

I am such a chicken and also have a low tolerence for pain but I envy your courage to get it done.

that has got to be on of the funniest waxing stories i've ever heard! lol~ but i'm sure it was worth it! i know that once you wax it's really hard to go back to shaving.

Sonia hun,Im happy with the results coz ive never been this cleann honestly ( till the crack!).I took the handy mirror yesterday and checked every bit of my coochie area....Hmmm gud job!

I'm not sure how long does it takes to grow back but I've noted frm the day 1 I've waxed,will let u know.I was told that regular waxing will more or less improve that area's complexion by pulling dead skin cells.She told me if possible avoid using razor as it will make the place go darker.I believe in this because I used to shave my underarms.Once I switched to waxing, my underarms has gone soooooo much better and lightened.

Im thinking of slathering somefairness cream on there,what u say ladies?

Yea I know how much it hurts. I tried to do mine at home and omg it hurt so bad I couldn't even finish. I had to have my boyfriend help me pull some strips off cuz I couldn't pull myself to do it. I gave up and decided Im just going to shave it from now on. Good to hear you went through with it.

The girl who does my waxing told me that the hair "down there" should be at least 1/4 inch long for them to be able to do a proper job. If it's too short not all the hair will come off, and if it's too long it's going to be really really painful. They usually trim it if it's too long, I wonder why she didn't trim yours. And they put baby powder on the whole area before doing the waxing.

A brazilian or bikini waxing should be done every 8 weeks or so, not before.

One good thing about getting waxed is it takes away the dead skin in the groin area too, so the skin becomes lighter with regular waxing.

If you're a newbie at waxing, remember to bring a small towel to bite your teeth on while it's being done

I think 8 weeks is too long, I have mine done every 4 weeks. It is more painful the longer you leave it though definitely.

I just had mine done again saturday actually and I have to say it was more painful than usual this time for some reason!
