Hi!

I was wondering has anybody used this and how good is it? You always hear on TV how wonderful it is. I was just wondering how good it actually is? I anybody could answer me it would be wonderful!

Thanks

I used it and it made no difference in my skin. It made it slightly softer but, acne wise.. it was a total waste of time and money.

i can't believe i bought this product . I told myself i would never buy from an infomercial (well .. actually .. i'm lemming BE right now .. LoL) .. but i bought this .. .and it was a total waste of money ... and 60 days later they sent me another package i had to pay for ... since i forgot to cancel it....

.. i tried it and it dried up my skin reallli bad. It made my face realli flaky and no matter how much i moisterize ... Mu looked terrible ... I've heard it works for some ppl ... but .. i guess not for me ...

I thought it was just a first time reaction .. so i gave it more time ... and .. it burned my face like nothing ....!!

Check out this thread for more info: Proactiv

You may also want to check the review center. My sister has been using it for the past year or so and her skin has never looked better. She also uses Bare Minerals as her foundation which is something that her dermatologist suggested she use.

I think its like any product that is out there. You have to try it and see if it works for you. I tried BE after I saw the results that my sister had and for six months I was satisfied. After that, it was like my skin changed and it was not liking BE anymore. Now I use MAC (Studio Fix or Select SFP or Studio Fluid FIx) foundations and they work for me while for others, it breaks them out.

... i feel like i could have used that money on something better .. .but i wasted it .... ehh ...

I'm guessing this only works for people with really oily skin and really bad acne, if you just have moderate acne and/or combo skin it is probably a waste.

I have very little acne and I tried it and after a few weeks of using it it finally worked! I saw results and it was dramatic! Then after a while like give or take a couple of months it stopped working! So it worked for me for a while and I also have oily skin with some breakouts.

i never personally used it on myself but my husband did and what a mistake!

before you even consider, make sure you are not allergic to benzoyl peroxide (as my hubby found out) which is an ingredient used in proactiv.

my hubby used it and his skin did start looking better (which wasn't really bad to begin with). but after a week, his entire cheek area had small bumps on it and it just kept multiplying! worse, as a result of proactiv dripping on the side of his arm during application, he had them on his arms too! and if you didn't know him, you'd think he had some skin disease! it was that bad. the icing on the cake? he developed ezcema because of it.

i guess everyone has their own opinion/experiences. i had one mac artist tell me it worked for her.

but all i want to say is be wary.

Wow i heard either really good things and really bad things. My sister just got it and we have the same skin type i will keep a watch to see how its working for thanks for all the input.

i know i'm not allergic to benzoly peroxide, well .. i use 10% .. don't know if proactiv has a higher percentage in it. But ... i had the same reaction as your husband, besides being flakey and dry, my skin itched like nothing and there were red bumps(like mosquito bites) all over my cheeks and forehead ..... ahh .... horrible experience

I might suggest trying something. It might sound crazy, but find a Mary Kay lady (you can type in your zip code on marykay.com and find someone) and try their #3 basic skin care. I know lots of people who use it now instead of proactiv because they think it works better and they don't automatically bill you. My friend Jenn has been using the MK #3 for about 4 years now and LOVES how her skin is from it. I don't know if it'll work for you, but it has a money back guarantee, so i figure why not?

The skincare and beauty industry admire the owners of the Proactive company for one thing ONLY, their amazing marketing techniques! The founders of Proactive have been able to take a basic, drug store quality product and turn it into a multi-mullion dollar gold mine; unfortunately at the expense of consumers who are searching for real solutions to serious skin care problems. I own one of the leading medical spas and skincare centers and am currently developing a professional medical grade skincare line and therefore have done copious research on skincare products, ingredients, brands, and companies. The products in the Proactive line contain basic ingredients that you would find in any low end, mass distribution skincare line that you can purchase in any drugstore, wal-mart, etc. Although the product may be effective for some who suffer from mild acne and breakouts, they are ineffective in treating moderate to severe problems; furthermore, the combination of the entire system can be very drying and may cause a reaction in sensitive skin types. The proactive team has been successful due to the endorsements from stars like Jessica Simpson and others who received upwards of $2 million for pushing the product. If you are looking for a serious solution to acne and skin problems, visit a qualified esthetician, one who uses top quality professional grade products and the latest techniques and advances to put you on the path to a lifetime of beautifully healthy skin.

Wow you seem very against Proactive! Well i was just asking because it is so endorsed my celebrities and usually means its crap! I have a few people i know who uses proactive and love it.BUt i was wanting to ask a bigger group of people more opinions and reviews thanks. I was wondering about that Neutragina stuff that kind of looks like Proactive it has tree bottles in a box. My acne has been getting worse this past year i think its all the hormone problems i have been having.

My mom sells Mary Kay i tried it when i was younger and didn't care for it much the toner dried out my skin a lot. And the mask seemed to Burn my skin i remember i use to get these red spots on my cheeks and it was so raw feeling that i never used the number 3 mask from Mary Kay again.

But unfornately, it didn't help my acne issues. It cleared up for a few weeks then back to normal. You will just have to try it if you haven't b/c it varies from person to person..
