i've had laugh lines around my eyes since I was about 18 (I'm 22 now). I know how you feel.

I need some tips too! I have started studying my face 1 mm. away from the mirror recently. I have no idea why I started doing this or being this paranoid about my skin now, its always been fine! Anyway at that close I can see laughlines coming on. Of course nobody is ever 1 mm away from my face to see them and gals laugh at me when I tell them coz they say there's nothing to see, however its freaking me out. i have no idea what I should be doing about this so they don't come on full force. I put enough on my face though I just can't imagine getting involved in wrinkle cream too. Should we tho?

3 things are helping my lines on the forehead and around the mouth - home microdermabrasion Epidermx, Silkia camellia oil and Green Cream. I'm very satisfied with the results so far. My lines look less apparent and skin tone and texture look much better.

I have laugh lines and I'm 22, and it adds character to my face, so I like them. But if you want them to be less apparent, then apply emu oil, it's great for my skin...

Awww...I've got em too and it really bugs me. Why do guys grow old so gracefully and look distinguished and women, grow old and ummmm "cough" look older?

I for one think it has to do with how we are with our skin. We wash our face twice a day (no matter how gentle you are, we are still moving our skin around).....men don't do this. We moisturise, put makeup on, masks, treatments, removing eye makeup and soooo many other things, THAT MEN DON'T DO!!!!! I beleive if we could have started out young and NEVER done any of these things too......we'd have less wrinkles as well.

But dang it, I could never just walk around all my life naked faced or heck, only washing my face in the shower.

Or heck maybe it's just a girl thing and we have thinner skin than men....ARGGG!

Just never do botox. If you EVER consider a filler (in the wrinkle areas). Consider the thing called "facian" (I think it's called) it's where they use your own fat or collegen or natural fat or collegen as a filler and eventually your skin responds and starts creating it's own fat cells in that area again.

EDIT: Reija reposted this in the skin problems chart:

Topical wrinkle creams may help plump up lines temporarily, but they won't make wrinkles disappear. "The first line of defense to diminish wrinkles," says Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon Michael E. Valdes, "is to fill them with collagen." While collagen from animals needs to be replaced every 4-6 months, Dr. Valdes' method of choice is a new treatment, Facian (about $250 per syringe), which injects human collagen, facia, into wrinkles. After three treatments, the body starts forming its own new collagen around the facia, making this method most efficient as a long-term solution. If your wrinkles are very deep grooves, consider a surgical approach.

I hear ya, I wouldn't do the botox.....if it came down to it I'd consider the 'facian' method, mentioned above.

My inlaws went to New Zealand about 3 mths ago and brought me some! it was a body glaze type of thing. Really cool stuff that Emu oil ( even though I had the glaze...lol).

i've had lines since i moved to fl, 6 yrs ago and got sunburned one time. i've tried lots of creams and microdermabrasion, still there. yeah and the more you pull or stretch your skin the worse it gets. also sleeping on your face will over time cause wrinkles. sucks, but every one still says i look like i'm between 17 and 20,so i guess that's good. i'm 26.

I couldn't get Emu oil here, so I ordered it from the ebay, and it actually made my skin very smooth over night. I don't the difference between different brands, but mine said it was 100% pure emu oil, so I couldn't argue with it...
