Has anyone tried Estee Lauder's Clear Difference Advanced Hydrating moisturiser for oily skin? Does it work and does it really 'regulate sebum production'? I heard it can be a bit dry for those people with normal/combo skin...

how do you girls with oilier skins deal with shine to make your make-up last longer?

i use clinique pore refining lotion on my t-zone and they're oil controlling moisturizer on my cheeks.

Never tried it, sorry! I've had great success with MK Oil Control Lotion and MK Velocity Lightweight Moisturizer. I've been using Avon Naturals Purifying Tea Tree & Grapefruit Facial Cream, and it's pretty good! I get a nice matte finish upon application!

Heyy!! Well I have oily/combo skin as well. I haven't tried Estee Lauder's Clear Difference Advanced Hydrating Moisturiser, so I really can't tell you how it works, but what I use makes a great difference on controlling the oilies... for me at least! Okay so here's what I use...

- Cleanser: Biotherm BioVitamin Cleanser (it's discontinued...

and made for "young skin"... so now I am on the search for a new one!!!)

- Toner: Just plain old Apple Cider Vinegar (which has greatly lessened my breakouts!! yay! Maybe even tone down the oil?)

- Moisturiser: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (very lightweight and not creamy or lotion-y which is bad bad bad for oily/combo skin)

- Sunscreen: Neutrogena Active Breathable Sunblock SPF 30 (there is also SPF 45). This is the thing that reduces oil and shine for me. I know this because I only use it in the morning when I'm going to school or whatever. But on the days I'm staying in, I don't use it. And on those days, I am extremely oilier than the days that I have it on. So that's my proof that it works!

That was a whole lot of useless information, but if you do decide to try the sunscreen, I hope it works just as good for you as it does for me

But seeing as you live in the States (I live in Canada), it might still be available. I'm already on my fourth (and last) tube, so I enjoyed it while it lasted. You should check around, you might find it not discontinued at all!

thanks thePinkcess!!! I'm in Canada too! are you on the east or west coast??

I've actually tried clinique's dramatically different moisturiser (i had a sample from those gift packs they give away), but it didn't seem to do much for my skin. It was light, but it didn't control oil for me. I have extremely combo skin... my cheeks are quite dry but my t-zone seems almost hyperactive. but im quite interested in neutrogena's sunblock... i currently use clinique's spf40 daily face protector... but it doesn t give a matte finish and it feels a bit heavy and greasy on my skin.

My skin is oily yet very sensitive..currently using Exuviance by Neostrata for cleanser and toner..just okay for me..for the moisturizer I'm using Olay Total Effect Plus..yet my face very oily..still searching for the best skin care..

I use Clinique's dramatically different moisturizing gel!! It is great! It is light weight and feels great on the skin! I live in missouri where is hot and humid as H***! I have no problem's with my makeup looking shiny or anyting throughout the day! YOu should try it!!!

i also have oily/combo skin.

i use the line ROC to clean my face... really gets rid of the oil from your face as well as all the makeup from the day. and then i use Clinique Superdefence SPF45 in the day and Clinique Turnaround Cream at night. Have noticed a huge difference. Oily/combo is really tricky to control. You have to be consistent in what you use otherwise your skin won't like it.
