Based upon recs from this and the EDS board, I have been using EO's for a while. Lately I have been patting them around my eyes, since renova, green cream and other strong stuff gives me the creepy's.

Have to say....loving them. Wake up with very little dryness and/or puffiness!

I use avocado oil mixed with a little apricot oil & I love it. I use it all over though but you can obviously use it just around the eyes if thats what you prefer.

I've been using Jojoba oil to remove my eye makeup, and I love it. I read the ingredients on my other eye makeup removers and cringed. So many chemicals and colorings! Jojoba does a great job, and it's moisturizing, too!

Before I purchased an eye cream, I was using Jojoba oil on the dry patches around my eyes and it did a pretty good job. Is Jojoba OK for this area Kim?

I just started using an oil (Silkia camellia oil) around my eyes 2 days ago and it has been great. The area looks more plump and some tiny fine lines are gone. I have been using Green Cream but never dared to put it around my eyes. Now I dab the oil there before the Green Cream and there is no dry and creepy look. I love it!

I have been using olive oil in the morning and at night around my eyes and have been really pleased with it!

Wait are we talking about essential oils or carrier type natural oils because the 2 are totally different?

An example of an essential oil would be lavender oil, tea tree oil or rosemary oil which yes as Naturally stated should be used in a carrier oil such as olive, Avocado or Jojoba oil.

Some essential oils can be used straight but I play it safe & use the carrier anyway.

There must be some conflicting information out there! Ive read that jojoba is an excellent, non-comedogenic moisturizer. I only use it as an eye makeup remover, but I read numerous reviews of people that use it as a facial moisturizer. According to this list, it's not irritating or comedogenic...

Here's an excerpt from an Eco-oil seminar briefing:

"The oil from jojoba, the only liquid wax found in Nature, is a marvelous ingredient with extraordinary skin caring properties. It is non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic, and non-greasy; it contains no triglycerides, is non-toxic and has long-lasting natural emolliency. Recognized as the best natural moisturizer, it permeates the stratum corneum and hair cuticles (keratin layers) with excellent repairing results, Natural Jojoba softens skin and reduces fine lines. It has excellent lubricity and does not support bacterial growth."

It's good to research what you put on your face/body, and do a test spot. Also, just because it's natural, doesn't mean it's non-toxic or non-irritating.

Does anybody else that uses oil have tinted eyelashes?

I am worried to use the oil in case it strips the colour. :s
