I want to buy this product i saw in walgreens. Healing Beauty CornSilk Zero Shine Invisible Mattifier. The problem is i dont know if i can use it with everthing else i use in the mornings.

1. Cetephil cleanser

2.Oxypads

3.prescribed topical acne treatment

4.DDF Mattifing Moisterizer

Would it defiy the purpose of everything else?

I would think it would have the same effect as your DDF Mattifing Moisturizer -- I'm not sure if you'd want to apply two mattifiers to your face each day! However I don't think it will interfere with your other products -- I also use a mattifier (Either the Cornsilk one you want or Clinac OC) with various topical acne treatments! But to be safe you could always ask your dermatologist if it would interfere with your prescription! (My dermatologist recommended the Clinac OC to be used with my prescriptions -- I can't find Clinac in stock at the drugstores but you can have your pharmacist order it for you since it's nonprescription.) However I haven't found the Cornsilk or the Clinac OC to be very effective with my skin, but they do work for some people!

The best thing I've found for keeping my very oily skin matte is CoverGirl Professional Loose Powder! I've tried department store and drugstore brands of loose powder, and this keeps my skin matte way longer than anything else! Another good product to have on hand is oil blotting sheets for touchups (I use Clean and Clear, you can get a pack of 50 for $5!) -- they soak up the oil without removing your mu!

Hope that helps! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Thanks. I have an appoitment on monday anyways so ill ask my Derm. The DDf moisterizer doesnt really seem to work. but i use it for the spf.

Being not easily impressed...(I've tried tons of mattifiers)... I just started using a product by Aloette called Flawless Finish... and I have to say, I'm impressed.:clap It's supposed to even out skintone, but I find for me, it really makes large pores less visible, and is the first product I've tried that keeps me shine free all day. I wear only mineral makeup, and it works great with that too. You might want to give it a try. Good luck!

I dip a fluffy make-up brush in corn starch (yes that box from the supermarket for 89 cents), shake off the excess and go over my entire face. Instantly absorbs oil, so no chalky look. I stole this idea from Bobbi Brown. She has a concealer kit with a matte setting powder for the concealer. It is just a finely colored corn starch.

I agree. Aloette products have done wonders for me. Oh and I would back off the oxy pads, I think since you are prescribed something for acne, you should ONLY use that.....you are doing too much with the oxy and it will do the opposite. Thats what I was told anyways.

Yeah, if you are on prescriptions don't use anything else that your dermatologist did not prescribe without talking to him first. Some acne medications even interfere with each other -- at one point I was on 2 prescriptions (I forget what they were now) and my dermatologist said if I used them both at once they wouldn't work well, so I had to use one in the morning and one at night!
