Okay, I'm posting this here since I've noticed the brow threads in the Makeup Forum are being moved here...

So, as we all know by now, I've let my brows grow out. They're right where I want them, except they're still sparse in areas, and I think I might've actually damaged the follicles where it's sparse. Basically, those are the only areas brows haven't grown back. It's two tiny areas smack-dead in the middle of where it's finally filling in *lol*

That aside, I'm wondering if there's anything I can do outside of brow powder that can help... What's the deal w/ brow tinting? Is that something that could help? I mean, IMHO, my brows are fairly light compared to my skin & hair (and I do mean even lighter than the one shade lighter I use in a brow product)... Unless I go back to thicker brows, in which case they look darker, but I don't like them thick on me... Any suggestions or recs?

looks like we're on the same boat!

im sort of in the same boat as you aswell. part of my brows are never growing back in!!

i was on sephora and they have a product by Talika called eyebrow lipocils. it's supposed to help your hair grow in faster and quicker. It has REALLY good reviews on makeup alley too. One for eyelashes aswell.

I havent tried it yet but i think i may order and give it a go. you should check it out!

I have this tiny sparse area on my right brows but I used my FIL hair growth essence and it works! I noticed that there's no sparse areas on my right brow anymore lol

Thanks to my FIL for his hair growth essence, I don't need to spend another $$ for just for brows maintenance lol

Maybe you could start all over....grow them out and with your new knowledge....get them shaped differently. I know that settling into comfort when your married is sometimes an issue, but I can't imagine any man will have an issue with brows (unless it's a uni-brow with a mohawk). I think you should let your brows grow hog-wild (not really though...) and start fresh.

LOL!
you could try something to help it grow, like mavala's double lash, but other than that, i think you're stuck with brow powder

i don't think there's anything else you could do.

Man, did you find all my old forgotten posts Katie! I was just thinking about this thread the other day though, I just forgot to find it *lol*

The brows are okay. Still need filling in, especially after my hack job with the trimmer! They're bouncing back okay from that too though. I reckon I'm just stuck with brow powders and whatnot. Just need to find the right colors. I'd rather use a pencil to just darken the brows over a powder to FILL them in, but that'll have to come within time. Oh, and the sparse areas, I think that's just permanent from damaging follicles... Such is life!

i think they look great now, though, whether or not you need to fill them in!

Wish I could help ya babe - But I have never touched a thing other than tweezers to my brows (other than that one DTB)...

Good luck in getting them just how you want them
