I just posted about a HAIR problem, and forgot to ask about a SKIN problem I have. Once I put my foundation and makeup on, you can't tell........BUT, I have what I guess is called "age spots".......OUCH......I hate to call them that!! The problem is that I use self tanners on my face so I don't look so pale. SO, if I also use a product that will 'bleach' age spots, it ALSO takes away the tan......that adds up to lots of money (CHA CHING $$$$) I do use the Alpha Hydrox line and like that, but I STILL have those awful brown spots.

Any suggestions?????

Look for products with hydroquinone. This is a skin lightening treatment for hyperpigmented skin. You will want to only apply it to the brown spots. Some hydroquinone products are only available by prescription.

Hi Godfreygirl, I am not very sure about this but i think Kim might possibly know the answer. Maybe you could use the lightening product for a few days before you tan or when your tan is wearing off and needing topped up or if you prefer to use it daily you could do your lightening treatment pm and your tan am. that way you can do both always using the tan after the lightening treatment (if that makes sense). Treat your skin at night or am and then tan.

Hey Lisa......I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you on this. I've been in Tulsa, Oklahoma visiting my daughter and her family and just got back a couple of days ago. SO.....about the 'hydroquinone' products thing for the brown spots......I went to Walgreen's and got "Palmer's Skin Success Eventone Fade Cream". All the other products were MUCH more expensive and had the SAME ingredients.......hmmmmm!! Palmer's only cost about $3 for the same size 2.7 oz jar. THANKS for the tip. I've been using it ONLY on the brown spots AND on the brown under my eyes. I use it at night and my tanning stuff in the morning. I think I'm seeing some results. YEA!!!!!
