I've been doing the oil cleansing method since Saturday and I can actually say that my skin is not as oily as it usually is! I would have never guessed it. I found this site Body Herbal Product, Now Foods, Herbal Life, Health Food Store, Home Remedy, Alternative Medicine, Health And Nutritional Supplements, Herbs at Herbspro.Com and am looking at getting some more oils. So far I have in my mixture 5 tablespoons evoo, 8 tablespoons castor oil, and 1 1/2 tablespoons jojoba oil. At first it was just 50/50 evoo/co, but I was getting a little oily at the end of the day, so I thought I'd try a little more castor. But, just wanted to see about getting some more "recipes" for OCM! Thanks

yay. I never expected to find another person on here that uses ocm! I've been using it for about two weeks now and am super pleased with the results. My skin is going through a detox peroid right now, but it's nothing like my acne usually is during "this time of the month".

I agree, my face use to be super oily before using it. Even now, if I don't have time and wash my face with even an organic face wash, it still gets super oil. But when I use OCM my skin just feels GOOD!

Right now, I'm using the 50/50 EVOO and CO with a few drops of tea tree and lavender.

interesting thread. i never heard of the oil cleansing method. i'm typically acne prone, so do you think its a good idea for me to use it? i'm also oily skinned.

I can't wait to try this!! I've been reading so many threads here (is a sticky for this maybe a good suggestion??) and I am very curious. I've googled everything I can on it too. So I'm going to just try jojoba and grapeseed. I'm not sure about using the castor oil (something about it making hair darker and thicker and I don't need that more on my face!) So I'll try to pick this stuff up tomorrow and look forward to better skin in just a few weeks. I also have read in several forums that there is the detoxing period. Hope it doesn't get too bad. Just started using mmu and I like the thought of not putting a bunch of chemicals on my face. I'm 31 and hoping to age gracefully.

I also use this. My mix is more like 60 Olive oil / 40 Castor oil. I'm still tweeking my mix. Sometimes I use a scrub after oiling and before rinsing.

I have put castor oil on a cotton ball and put on a pimple after cleaning and the next morning - no pimple.

I might have to change the mix when the weather warms up. I live in a HOT & HUMID climate.
