You've probably run across a few posts where I've been whining about my too curly, fuzzy, fluffy perm. What I'd like to know is if there any other ways to relax the curl besides shampooing with Prell or using perm solution. If I wanted to go the perm solution route, do you think it would fry my hair more if I diluted it with water, combed it through and rinsed immediately? I don't want to do more damage, but I'm at my wits end...help!

As for going back to my hairdresser, she thinks it looks good or so she says. :icon_roll However, I think she says that just because it looks like crapolla and she knows it. Also, my friend who is always generous with compliments didn't say anything when she first saw it so that tells me it's bad.

10-4! lol For some reason this didn't show up as a new thread for me..? Hmm... anyhooo.....

How long ago did you get the perm? I definitely wouldn't add more chemicals to it... you'll end up with so much damage, and some parts might loosen, others might not... so the results are iffy. Honestly - the best thing to do is wait it out... it only takes about 2 weeks to loosen up a bit. You could also use a heavy conditioner, and a leave-in, to help weigh it down...

It was 2 months ago, yesterday. I would have thought it would have loosened up quite a bit by now esp. since my naturally stick straight hair has a hard time retaining curl. Gosh, whatever she used must have been super duper...ugh!!!

When I had my hair permed, the lady told me not to wash it with Thermasilk shampoos. I hate it so bad, it was way too curly when I only wanted loose waves, so I waited the 48 hours and immediatley washed it with Thermasilk. It took a lot of the tightness out of it. Maybe you could try that, and see what happens. =)

I know how bad perms can be. I hated mine, until it was almost grown out, and then I loved it.
