hello ladies :icon_chee

i have a daily regimen that i've found pretty effective but, i was wondering.. what do you ladies (if anything) use on your face overnight? is spot treatment a good idea?

I take my make up off with MAC's Wipes. I also use their Pro Eye Make up remover if I need to. Then I wash my face with MD Formulations and if need be, I apply their Glycare acne gel at night for spots.

spot treatments are better at night. especially if you're using something like mario badescu's pink stuff that you use for spot treatment. lol

I was going to ask a similar question but I will just post it here :icon_chee I am trying to find a good night lotion, I have sunscreen lotion for day I like, but for night I just dont like any I try, its too drying or too greasy. I rarely get blemishes, so I dont care much about that. Just something good that isnt too thick and slimy but not too thin either.

I used to use (*lol*) Diacneal at night, gave me great skin ( have combo skin), glowingand even, no m/u needed in the day. Now I'm using tretinoin gel for anti-aging benefits. Well I did use Diacneal for the same reason, but tretinoin is more effective in the long run.:icon_chee

My nightly skin care routine for my oily, acne-prone skin:

Wash and exfoliate with Cetaphil bar soap and Buf Puf sponge (recommended by my dermatologist)

Stridex Maximum Strength (2% salicylic acid)

Neutrogenia On-The-Spot Treatment (2.5% benzoyl peroxide) *

Olay Regenerist eye serum (I'm just starting to see fine lines so I thought I'd try this!)

* This On-The-Spot treatment is by far the best drugstore acne product I've tried and I highly recommend it! 2.5% BP is just as effective as the 10% BP found in most other acne treatments, but is much less likely to dry out your skin. 10% BP did dry out my skin, but now I use 2.5% BP all over my face as a preventative measure and it doesn't dry out my skin at all! It's not *quite* as good as my previous prescription acne medications (Tazorac cream and Clindagel) but still pretty good!

I just wipe off my makeup with a baby wipe and put some eye cream on. Not very exciting :icon_roll

I alternate cleansers between Benefit Whoosh and MD Formulations Problem Skin Cleanser. Then I use Clindomycin topical antibacterial lotion. Finally I use Differin Cream. Once a week a I do a Lactic Acid Peel too.

Here's mine:

Remove MU with Estee Lauder's Take It Away MU Remover

Remove eye MU with Boots No7 Eye MU Remover

Wash my face with Aaprii Exfoliating Cream

Dry

Apply Olay Complete Care Night Cream or else Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

2 nights a week i use Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask & 1 night I use Epidermx Microdermabrasion

~Remove MU (including eye MU) with DHC Cleansing Oil.

~Cleanse face with either Aloette Pure Radiance Revitalizing Cleanser or Avon True Porefection Skin Refining Cleanser (I alternate).

~Refresh with either Proactiv Revitalizing Toner or Herbal Logix Phyto Skin Refresher Gentle Toner (whichever I happen to grab!).

~If active breakouts, Proactiv Repairing Lotion (contains 2.5% benzoyl peroxide). If mostly clear, Avon Clearskin Overnight Blemish Treatment (contains 1.5% salicylic acid).

~On eye area, Aloette Line Relief Concentrate, Age Defiance Firming Serum, and Advanced Eye Recovery Complex.

~Around mouth, Aloette Line Relief Concentrate and Age Defiance Firming Serum.

I don't do a full-face of anti-aging products at night. I take a patchwork approach, just around the eyes and mouth. During the day I put on anti-aging stuff on my entire face and neck. I found when I did my anti-aging stuff all over my face at night, I broke out more (even on my neck, eew!). I know a lot of experts say to use anti-aging products at night so your skin can use them better or something, but my way works for me! :icon_wink

Oh yes, it definetly has. Click on the link to my reviews, under my picture.:icon_chee
