New Haircut!

Okay, I know the "Pob" is the new "Rachel" and that everyone is getting this haircut but I don't care! I've always wanted to try short hair and I absolutely love this cute so I went for it. I had a blunt cut bob during Spring, grew it out over the last few months, and ended up cutting seven inches off. I didn't have enough to give Locks of Love for a hairpiece but my hair is so thick and healty that they're going to sell it and use the money for the organization. Unfortunately, I don't have any front shots, yet. So, what do you think?

love it! i was gonna get one too but i hate my hair being like all over shoulder length so i figured if i got a pob i'd need to have it forever cos i'd hate it when it was growing out!

but yours has been cut really well, it doesnt look to harsh and i love the layering x

Thank you! The first stylist who cut it did a pretty bad job; it was basically a chin lenght bob with no texturing and it hung really limp and pouffy. But, the new stylist I went to spent a lot of time playing around with my hair and was able to layer it perfectly so that it has volume but isn't too heavy. I was so happy with the job she did and I like that it's a little punkier than most versions you see.

I think it looks adorable. I would love to see the front of it. Why is called the Pob? I never heard of that, is it because of Posh (Victoria Beckham)? They mixed posh and bob together? I love the version you have with the layers too cute.

I want to get something done to my hair too. I wear it in a ponytail everyday or when I go to work I clip the bang area back and that is all I do to it.

Exactly. Posh + (inverted, a-line) bob = The Pob.
I got tired of dealing with my hair, as well. Now, that I work at home, I only get "dressed" (i.e. do my hair and makeup, etc.) two or three times a week so I was just throwing it back in a ponytail everyday and it would get so dirty and could tell it was starting to break. I figured it was a really good time to go short. And, I have to say, I'm glad I did.

If you get a chance take a pic of the front and post a before pic of how your hair used to look before the cut too please. Is your hair wavy or straight? I know if I got a cut like that I would need to blow it dry to get it to look that smooth. I love the back though, the layer really look great.

I'm going to try to take a better pic of the front tomorrow after I style it. My hair is kinda wavy but I always straighten it. The stylist told me to blow dry the back of it right after I get out of the shower and smooth it out with my fingers; then, take the top layers, hold them straight up, run the straightener over them and let them fall. She said that should be all I have to do for the back and then just straightened the front pieces and my bangs like normal. I'll let you know how it works out...
