So you may have read that I had to stop using the Dove bars

They're just too rich for my quite oily skin. I mean I'm not a complete oil slick but I think the Dove contributed to be being more oily because of the moisturising cream in it.

So I've started using Neutrogena Clear Pore wash. It's Soap, Alcohol and oil free and cleans my skin really well, it soaks up all the oil and my skin is really soft and doesnt feel particularly over dry either. I just use my regular Olay Beauty Fluid and my skin feels hydrated but clean.

I just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this product or would like to share their experiences if you've tried it?!

Thanks!

Sorry i've never tried it, but i'm attracted to the fact that it's oil, soap and alcohol-free, and now i'm curious! Hope we get some answers

I love it Beautynista. Its probably the only face wash I've tried that is already reducing my oil production but not dry out my skin. With it being Oil, Soap and Alcohol free too I much prefer it for my skin. It does contain salicylic acid but not a huge amount. My pores look smaller too! Probably because they're not secreting so much oil lol!

awww. i didn't know you gave up on dove. i made a comment to you about that in the pears thread

i've never tried it, but let us know how it goes!

While I havent used what you just mentioned, I do use from Tahition Noni, their oatmeal bar OMG its awesome!

I've never tried it, but I can no longer use Neutrogena products as they cause me to dry out and flake

yeah I wouldnt imagine their products to be any good for drier or normal skin types because their target is acne, blackheads and oily skin types although I find their Deep Clean facial wash to be really gentle (the gel not the cream)

i have used it once it contains aha and bha which is glycolic and salicylic acid i didnt like it but maybe its not the product because im reliased more then once neutrogena and my skin doesnt agree anything from neutrogena wont work for my skin my niece uses neutrogena skincare line and her skin is beautiful (knock on wood)

hope i helped

I use to use it all the time, but I had to stop using it after it broke me out in really bad hives. It was not a pretty picture. I am not sure what was in it that caused me to react to it like that..

I just started using Neutrogena "Pore Refining Cleanser & Toner" I think I like it so far..... fingers crossed!

Sorry once again

don't be sorry honey that's fine - I spend half my life confused lol!
Yeah it's weird though cos elsewhere it's called oil free acne wash but over here it's called Clear Pore Wash. It's the same thing though.

Heck before Olay changed their brand name to just Olay, it was called Oil of Ulay over here and Oil of Olay everywhere else in the world lol! It's just weird!

Really Jen? I'm lucky my skin doesnt really react like that to most ingredients.

Well I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and I have to say I'm sooo impressed! I have virtually no oiliness, no spots, I don't really get blackheads so can't comment on those but my pores look heaps smaller too! I'm so happy! I think the Dove was doing me no favours at all with it making my skin a bit oily with it being moisturising. Maybe once my skin is a bit drier I'll go back to it but I inherited oily skin from my mothers side so and hers is still oily at 43 so goodness knows if I'll ever have dry skin lol!

I've been using this for a couple weeks now with olay definity (the foaming moisturizer) and my skin has never looked better! I have some acne (though not as bad as it used to be) and with that comes dry skin from all the medicine i've used to try and get rid of it. i love the neutro/olay combo !

UPDATE: Wow this the best cleanser for me ever! I don't think I'll ever use anything else! My skin is clear, my pores are smaller and my skin is normal now and not oily! I'm really really pleased with it!!
