I don't like the way it smells. I had a bar soap that had neem oil in it. I didn't like it at all.

I bought some at an Indian market the other day along with some sweet almond oil. It's amazing what you can find in an E. Indian store...

anyways, I bought the neem. I was wondering how much I would have do dilute this crap til the smell is gone. It is really hard to take, it makes me kinda queezy.

I agree the smell is very bad... but neem oil is high in vitamin E, rich in emollients and fatty acids making it very good for dry skin.. I find it very soothing on the skin... Its great for dry, cracked and damaged skin..

It really helps itchy and irritated skin too...

It has so many uses... I like it!!

So how do you cut the smell??

Yea, Indian markets are good to browse. In fact all "ethnic" for lack of a better word are good to browse. They always have hidden treasure.

Never tried it, but i agree, indian stores are full of wonders, my favorite indian store in Paris also has a spice collection to die for and you can't beat their prices !

In fact thanks to you, i might just go visit and buy my favorite poison tomorrow

I finally found a use for this bottle of neem oil that's been hanging around taunting me. I made soap with it. It was only 3.5 oz of neem oil but boy that smell sure carried! 37oz of other oils and you can still smell it! I added tea tree oil, lavender EO, Frankensense EO, cypress EO and rosemary EO to mask the smell. It has apparently worked but we'll have to see when after its fully cured. It is pretty moisturizing tho and leaves your skin super smooth.
