I can't stand how my current deodorant (anti persperant if you want to be totally correct) makes my underarms so dry! I don't know if it's just the nature of the beast, but I don't remember having this much of a problem with wearing deodorant in the past. I use avon roll on which is like 99cents and super cheap. I don't use it because it's cheap, I use it becuase it's not tested on animals, and one of the few brands of deodorant that isnt tested. I've tried about 20 natural kinds and they seem to make me sweat more, as they don't prevent it they just mask it. I don't like natural ones, they also irritate me. So im limited to what I will buy. I need sugguestions on new deodorants, not the regular store brands like secret or dove because those are tested on animals. So can anyone tell me of a kind they know isn't tested, and doesnt make their arms completely dry. I like to have soft skin all over, and I do besides this part. It annoys me! Or can anyone just tell me how to soften the skin? It also doesnt have very long staying power.

Have you tried Degree? I use it and it works the best out of all that I've tried.

degree is tested on animals, so i really cant try it, or atleast my conscience would get to me if i did purchase it.

I don't really have any suggestions, seeing as how I my HG deodorant is by Secret, but I must say that I really admire your dedication to not using products tested on animals. I wish all companies made great products that weren't tested on animals, but unfortunately my Secret Platinum is the only thing that keeps my underarms from going crazy. But anywho, just wanted to say that I really admire and wish I could be like you. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> (that sounded kinda cheesy, didn't it? lol)

I can't recommend anything that's not tested on animals either. It makes me feel terrible now, because I don't usually think about it. I use Dove though and I love it. Sometimes I use Secret too. Now I'm sad.

have you tried the pit-rok / crystal type deos?? I haven't but my dad uses them and I'm going to try switching to them also.

i swear by my rexona deodorant. i just read on their canadian website that apparently unilever (owner of the brand) doesn't test on animals.

the problem is i don't like their roll on as much as their sprays, and it contributes to destroy the ozone layer. :banghead:

Dove just brought out a new one thats cucumber, its rather nice actually, I thought Id smell like a salad

aww thats sweet guys. and yeah, unilever is a company thats big on animal testing, not sure how you read they don't test, unless they stopped and im unaware. i have used the crystal or whatever kind and they didnt work for me. it had no scent and all i smelt was BO!

and dove tests on animals so i cant try that cucumber one, but thanks for sharing anyways.

im going to try that lush kind even though ive failed horribly with all natural deodorants!

the powder?

i didn't know about dove, but i don't use that brand.

i know about unilever, so when i read their website i just assumed they stopped. and the french website i know isn't updated so i couldn't check if it was right or not (but i just found a new one saying they haven't stopped, arg, i feel stupid and confused).

i think i can try the lush, looks like they have funny products.

I do not know if Burts Bees is tested on animals but I seriously doubt that it is. Anyway, they have a ddeodorant that actually works on my husband. It has sage in it so it has a nice smell but it also has alcohol which is supposed to make you smell less. I do not think it is an antipersperent tho.

i know exactly which you're talking about. the herbal deodorant. ive always wanted to try it, i might now that you reminded me. thank you! and no burts isnt tested on animals, it's one of my fave companies.

It must be this one: Product: Herbal Deodorant

I am intrigued. If you do decide to try one of the LUSH deodorants, I'd recommend the aromaco over the aromacreme due to the pieces in the aromacreme can make it a bit of a pain to use. I've never tried the deodorant powders.

I really love the deoderant stones, but have you tried moisturizer overnight to help your dryness?

Good luck!
